I must express my shock and dismay that our respective Departments of Public Works have progressed so far with a fundamentally flawed plan without proper briefing or involvement of the town boards that have jurisdiction over this matter.

The annual Dudley Pond Fun Run kicked off the fall season on October 5, with attendance surpassing last year. There were 119 runners and competitive walkers, 13 fitness walkers, and 41 children.

A Wayland staple for 27 years, the event is a major annual fundraiser for the Dudley Pond Association (DPA).

The public notice, available on each town’s website, indicates that the bridge could be closed for three to five months. They are holding a joint “visioning workshop” to explain the plans to the public and to get input on the design.

    Over 250 bike riders from Wayland and nearby commu Over 250 bike riders from Wayland and nearby communities participated in the Ride to Defeat ALS Massachusetts on September 20. The Longfellow Club in Wayland has hosted the ride for over 20 years. This year’s event generated almost $230,000 to benefit ALS research and to provide support services to individuals suffering from this debilitating disease.

    Dear Editor:For 282 years, Sherman’s Bridge has Dear Editor:For 282 years, Sherman’s Bridge has been all wood bridges linking country lanes in Wayland and Sudbury at a narrow point in “sedge meadows” lining the Sudbury River – protected forever as the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.

Hiett describes her music as pop rock/folk pop/indie folk. Her current musical influences include Noah Kahan, Alex Warren, Benson Boone and Gracie Abrams.
