Monday, Mar. 17, 2025

8:32 a.m.: Resident at 74 School St reported furniture was moved into the backyard overnight.

5:58 p.m.: Odor of smoke was reported at Sunrise Assisted Living (285 Commonwealth Rd). The Fire Department found the cause was an overheated motor; the unit was unplugged and facilities were advised.

6:00 p.m.: A minor motor vehicle accident occurred at 16 Boston Post Road.  No injuries were reported.  

Tuesday, Mar. 18, 2025

6:00 a.m.: A caller reported a motor vehicle crash near 1 Old Connecticut Path and Indian Rd.  A vehicle struck a utility pole; the electric company was notified.  DPW was informed of a road sign being hit.

8:23 a.m.: Wayland units assisted Sudbury with rescue and traffic when a bus went off the road into the water on Water Row in Sudbury.  

10:52 a.m.: Road hazard on Rice Rd was reported; a tarp was removed from the roadway.

3:26 p.m.: A two-car motor vehicle accident at The Villa Restaurant (124 East Plain St) was reported. 

4:09 p.m.: Motor vehicle crash at Commonwealth and Pemberton Rds. One person was transported to Metrowest Framingham hospital. 

6:51 p.m.: A caller reported striking a deer near Mel’s Restaurant (310 Commonwealth Rd). Police checked the area but were unable to locate the deer .

Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025

8:27 a.m.: A two-car accident occurred at 172 Main St at School St, with no injuries reported. 

9:56 a.m.: Motor vehicle stop at The Square (40 Cochituate Rd). Courtesy transport provided.

12:28 p.m.: A low-hanging communication wire was reported near the High School (264 Old Connecticut Path). The wire was taped to the pole and Verizon was notified.

6:01 p.m.: A caller reported a possible sinkhole at 11 Simpson Rd. A traffic cone was placed and DPW notified.

Thursday, Mar. 20, 2025

6:40 a.m.: An officer reported a “Curve” sign on Rice Rd at Turkey Hill Rd may have been struck and was lying on the ground.  DPW was notified.  

7:08 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving two cars occurred at 5 Paths.  

7:20 a.m.: A motor vehicle crash near Sandy Burr Country Club (103 Cochituate Rd) was reported. One person was transported to Newton Wellesley hospital. 

7:43 p.m.: A carbon monoxide alarm was sounding in a home on Concord Road.  No hazard was found. 

Friday, Mar. 21, 2025

7:00 a.m.: A power outage at Oxbow Rd at Grove St was reported.  The Fire Department determined it was possibly from a blown transformer.  Eversource was notified.

8:34 a.m.: A report was received of a party on the aqueduct wearing a dress and no shoes, who had started a small campfire.  The fire was extinguished with no further problem. 

10:31 a.m.: A caller reported a tree was down with wires across the road.  Eversource was notified and the road was closed.

3:30 p.m.: A caller at 173 Plain Rd reported a town tree had fallen, causing minor vehicle damage. DPW was notified. 

5:50 p.m.: Motor vehicle stop at Rice Rd @ Magnolia Dr; logged.

7:02 p.m.: Wires were reported down across the roadway at Winthrop Rd and Cochituate Rd (pole 4/15). Eversource and DPW were notified; roads were reopened by 8:45 p.m.

7:25 p.m.: A minor two-car crash occurred at Cochituate Rd and Trinity Pl.

10:47 p.m.:  A resident reported 3 youths on the rail trail on bike and electric scooters, possibly setting off fireworks. Area checked, gone on arrival.

Saturday, Mar. 22, 2025

12:45 p.m.: A report was phoned in of a large tree down at Lakeview Cemetery (90 Commonwealth Rd), blocking  the cemetery roadway.  DPW was notified for removal on Monday.

2:09 p.m.:  A resident of Sedgemeadow Road called 911 for help with an out-of-control brush fire.  The Fire Department extinguished it.

2:24 p.m.: Caller on  Autumn Ln found clothing in the driveway; also reported previous issues with lights on and an unsecured door.

Sunday, Mar. 23, 2025

1:07 p.m.: Officer removed a tarp that was lying in the roadway on School St.

1:14 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported near 14 Astra, involving a vehicle at the pool flashing its lights and people on the lawn.

Monday, Mar. 24, 2025

8:14 a.m. A two-car motor vehicle accident occurred at 70 Commonwealth Rd (The Wall); two patients were transported to the hospital.

10:15 a.m. A caller reported breaking and entry of a motor vehicle at 373 Commonwealth Rd.  

Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2025

6:14 a.m. A caller reported that the ATM machine at the Middlesex Savings Bank at 150 Commonwealth Road may have been tampered with, because the ATM card could not be retrieved from the machine.  The responding officer found no problem with the machine.

12:45 p.m. A minor two-vehicle crash at Commonwealth Rd and Oak St was reported, with no injuries.  

12:52 p.m. A resident called to report someone stole a political sign off her front porch.  6:20 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash with no injuries near 412 Commonwealth Rd.

6:32 p.m.: A walk-in complaint of bullying was received at the station; a report was filed.

Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2025

8:17 a.m. A disabled motor vehicle near 11 Cochituate Rd, blocking traffic in the northbound lane, was towed by State Road Autobody.

8:04 p.m.: A resident of Commonwealth Avenue called concerning harassing text messages about their child that were received from the caller’s ex.    

Thursday, Mar. 27, 2025

6:56 a.m.: A caller stated that there was a party sleeping in the front entry way at 109 Andrew Avenue.  Police removed the party.

10:39 a.m.: A two-vehicle traffic accident at Longfellow Health Club (524 Boston Post Road) was reported.

3:12 p.m.:  A caller from TD Bank at 57 Main Street reported someone trying to cash checks that had been stolen.  The person was later arrested by Wellesley police. 

3:38 p.m. A fire incident on Old Weston Rd @ Draper Rd involving an electrical box was reported.  Eversource was called and responded.

5:00 p.m. A resident of Old Connecticut Path reported that a motor vehicle had damaged the mailbox.  

Friday, Mar. 28, 2025

11:13 a.m. Police and fire responded to a 911 call from a Woodland Rd residence.  Arrested was Svetlana Khrapach of 32 Middlesex Circle, Apt 16, Waltham MA.  She was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering during the daytime, and resisting arrest, and was taken to the station.

5:12 p.m.: A resident of Claypit Hill Rd called to seek help when her toddler accidentally locked himself in a bedroom.   

11:10 p.m. A caller from Alta Oxbow I (492 Boston Post Rd) stated that a dog had been barking since early morning and may be in distress.  Maintenance was notified, but there was no answer at the door.  Animal control to be contacted in the morning.

Saturday, March 29, 2025

10:06 a.m.  A resident of Hastings Way reported a suspicious male in the area.  Party was located and advised not to use Hastings Way as a cut through as it is a private way.   

2:29 p.m.:  A resident of Woodland Rd reported that her upstairs neighbor stole a keyring containing several important keys.
