Monday, Dec. 15
8:13 a.m. — A resident of Old Connecticut Path called to report her mailbox was damaged.
2:29 p.m. — Two-car motor vehicle accident at the Mobil Station on Commonwealth Road was reported by 911.


Tuesday, Dec. 16
12:10 p.m. — Two-car motor vehicle crash on Boston Post Road at the Weston town line was reported by a walk-in; there were no injuries.
2:02 p.m. — A traffic accident on Cochituate Road near Woodridge Road, involving three motor vehicles, resulted in one person being transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
5:42 p.m. — A caller from Old Connecticut Path reported a carbon monoxide alarm was going off with one resident possibly experiencing dizziness. No hazard was found and the system was reset.
9:13 p.m. — Public safety personnel reported a vehicle driving with a flat tire on Boston Post Road with hazard lights on. The operator was heading towards the BMW dealership on run-flat tires. Responding police officer ensured the party reached the dealership.

Thursday, Dec. 18
10:15 a.m. — A caller from Pequot Road was concerned that a vacant house might have a broken basement window. The house was checked and no intrusion was found.
12:00 p.m. — A police officer reported two bags of trash were left on Boston Post Road by the boat ramp. A verbal citation was issued to the driver of an SUV.
2:02 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident with no injuries was telephoned in from Boston Post Road at Andrew Avenue. One vehicle was towed to State Road Autobody.
4:58 p.m. — A caller from Concord Road near Moore Road reported her car hit a deer.
5:23 p.m. — A 911 call reported a crash between two cars on Cochituate Road near Sandy Burr Country Club. One car was towed to State Road Autobody.
5:38 p.m. — Report of a second two-car accident on Cochituate Road near Sandy Burr was radioed in by police.


Friday, Dec. 19
9:27 a.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident involving two cars on Commonwealth Road near Decolores Drive was called in.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Public Safety received 17 calls concerning downed wires and 15 calls about road hazards, usually fallen trees or branches, as well as two reports of trees having fallen on cars. There was one report of a tree that fell on a house on Glezen Lane; the building department confirmed that the residents can remain.


Saturday, Dec. 20
8:30 a.m. — A caller reported that the traffic light at Old Connecticut Path and West Plain Street was facing in the wrong direction.
9:55 a.m. — A Woodridge Road resident telephoned that her mailbox was damaged.
4:31 p.m. — Police received a call from Wayland Automotive that there had been a motor vehicle accident at that location that left damage to the property, but that both parties had left the scene.
4:41 p.m. — Fire Department responded to a fire box alarm from Bent Park elderly housing at 12 Bent Avenue; there was heat and smoke at Building 10.
8:53 p.m. — A call from Mainstone Road at Indian Dawn stated that there were two large trees hanging into the roadway. DPW was notified.

Monday, Dec. 22
7:09 a.m. — A resident of Village Lane called 911 to report hearing explosions in the area. A walk-in also reported the same, stating the location was near Cameron and Charena roads. An officer checked the area and located vehicles with licenses to carry firearms and hunting passes.
9:41 a.m. — A Grove Street resident reported wires down in his yard. Fire Department confirmed, and notified Verizon and Eversource.
11:26 a.m. — A caller reported seeing hate language painted on athletic storage containers on the baseball field at Wayland High School. DPW was called to paint over the vandalism.
1:30 p.m. — A minor motor vehicle crash occurred at Boston Post Road at Morse Road.


Tuesday, Dec. 23
11:41 a.m. — A telephone call from Wisteria Way reported a gas leak in the basement. The gas company was notified, and the Fire Department shut off the gas furnace and hot water.
11:58 a.m. — A dead raccoon was found on Concord Road near Moore Road. Animal control was notified for pick up.
12:16 p.m. — A minor car crash occurred in the parking lot of the Wayland Library when one vehicle was accidentally backed into another. There were no injuries.
4:07 p.m. — The Fire Department responded to a call from Three Ponds Road concerning a burning smell and smoke coming from the kitchen hood. The responding officer shut off power to the hood at the electric panel.
11:59 p.m. — DPW reported wires down on Deer Run at Shaw Drive. Verizon and Comcast were notified, but the road was unable to be plowed at the time and was blocked off.


Wednesday, Dec. 24
1:15 p.m. — A resident of Hampshire Road called to report that her mother had driven onto a neighbor’s lawn at the intersection at Oxbow Road and may have caused damage to a vehicle or the yard. One party was transported to Emerson Hospital.
3:38 p.m. — Police responded to a call concerning an individual wearing camouflage walking with a dog and a firearm in the vicinity of Russell’s Garden Center (397 Boston Post Road).


Thursday, Dec. 25
6:10 p.m. — A caller from Fiddlehead Lane reported a tree blocking part of the road. DPW was notified.


Friday, Dec. 26
12:35 a.m. — A Caulfield Road resident received an alarm notification for carbon monoxide in their basement. Fire Department ventilated the home and advised the resident.
12:54 p.m. — A larceny was reported at The Residence at Paine Estate (10 Green Way).
5:19 p.m. — In a 911 call from Rice Road, a driver reported hitting a parked car after trying to avoid an animal. Both cars were towed to State Road Autobody.


Saturday, Dec. 27
12:51 a.m. — Police reported property damage to the Islamic Center, two shrubs and concrete poles, caused by a motor vehicle accident.
8:18 a.m. — A single-car accident occurred on Rice Road; there were no injuries.
11:17 a.m. — A motor vehicle crash involving two cars on Old Connecticut Path near Charena Road was reported by 911.
2:49 p.m. — A resident of Woodridge Road came to the station to speak with an officer regarding a computer crime that involved a hack or scam.


Sunday, Dec. 28
10:53 a.m. — An accident on Plain Road occurred when a car struck a utility pole. Eversource was notified, and the Fire Department assisted at the scene on account of fluid leaking from the vehicle. The car was towed to CBK impound lot in Boxboro.
8:41 p.m. — The operator of a motor vehicle called about hitting a deer in the area of Woodridge and Cochituate Roads. A walk-in party also stated they struck the deer. An officer on the scene found the dead deer, moved it off the road, and notified animal control.


Monday, Dec. 29
6:41 p.m. — A caller from Smokey Hill Road reported a carbon monoxide alarm was activated. Fire Department detected CO, and the home was ventilated.


Tuesday, Dec. 30
1:09 a.m. — A resident of Alta Oxbow was concerned about hearing a wire outside making a zapping noise. Fire Department confirmed a broken wire and insulator. Eversource was notified.
5:06 a.m. — An officer noted that a drop wire to a house on Sherman’s Bridge Road was down. Eversource was notified.
7:13 a.m. — A Coolidge Road resident called about two trees blocking the road. The Highway Department was notified.
1:00 p.m. — Sudbury Police notified Wayland about a gas can in the roadway near Russell’s Garden Center (397 Boston Post Road). A sergeant removed the gas can and notified MA DOT to retrieve it.


Wednesday, Dec. 31
9:59 a.m. — A resident of Old Farm Road came to the station to report payroll fraud by an employee.
12:57 p.m. — A caller from Cochituate Road reported communication wires were down on the sidewalk. Verizon was notified.


Thursday, Jan. 1
8:17 a.m. — A gas leak was detected at China Rose Restaurant (15 East Plain St). The Fire Department determined that a boiler had been left running, and ventilated the building.
2:30 p.m. — A call from Concord Road stated there was an injured deer in the roadway. The deer was located, and removed by a passerby.
7:32 p.m. — Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Bradford Street, police arrested Michael Lynch, 59, of Wellesley, who was charged with OUI (second offense) and marked lanes violation.
10:55 p.m. — A 911 call reported a hit-and-run accident on Caulfield Road involving two cars. The vehicle that left the scene was a blue Bronco.

Saturday, Jan. 3
9:14 a.m. — Having received a 911 call about the erratic operation of a motor vehicle, police stopped a truck matching the description at Boston Post Road and Pelham Island Road and gave the operator a verbal citation.
2:54 p.m. — A resident of Andrew Avenue reported a neighbor’s stove burner was left on and the apartment smells of gas. Fire Department confirmed that the situation was under control.


Sunday, Jan. 4
12:31 p.m. — A Red Barn Road resident came to the police station to report a larceny, namely purchases someone else made on a credit card that he had lost.
1:27 p.m. — A party came to the station to discuss youths repeatedly ding dong ditching on his father’s property on Parkland Drive.
