10:50 a.m. — A Ravine Road resident reported that water in her basement had set off an alarm. The Fire Department provided a pump to remove the water.
11:18 a.m. — A caller from Caulfield Road reported damage to his car.
4:26 p.m. — A resident of Aqueduct Road telephoned that someone had egged her house and poured maple syrup on her vehicle.
4:55 p.m. — A Shaw Drive resident reported that the home’s mailbox had been vandalized.
Tuesday, Feb. 17
2:39 p.m. — A resident of Andrew Avenue called 911 to complain about a neighbor playing the piano too loud. The neighbor was advised.
6:51 p.m. — A caller reported the presence of a large pothole or sinkhole on Pemberton Road. A message was left for the DPW.
9:42 p.m. — A telephone call from Maiden Lane said there were low hanging wires across the roadway. The telephone company was notified; also the building department was notified that the house was in disrepair. Police and Fire made entry into the home to conduct a well-being check.
Wednesday, Feb. 18
11:33 a.m. — A two-vehicle accident on Pelham Island Road was called in.
1:30 p.m. — An employee of CVS Pharmacy at 150 West Plain St. telephoned to report a theft that had occurred the previous Sunday.
Thursday, Feb. 19
10:34 a.m. — A Dean Road resident came to the station to speak with an officer regarding an unemployment scam.
2:09 p.m. — The CVS Pharmacy at 325 Boston Post Rd. called 911 to report a shoplifting incident.
4:03 p.m. — A resident of Pequot Road came to the police station to discuss a scam with an officer.
Friday, Feb. 20
11:11 a.m. — A Pickwick Way resident requested to speak with a police officer regarding larceny from her bank account.
1:23 p.m. — A report was received of a large strap and buckle creating a road hazard at Wayland Center. They were put on the corner in front of the church and Mass DOT was notified.
3:50 p.m. — A caller from School Street said that two youths were throwing snowballs at passing vehicles. An officer located and advised the youths.
7:14 p.m. — DPW called in a single-car motor vehicle accident on Rice Road at Thompson Street; the car was off the road, with minor damage.
Saturday, Feb. 21
2:25 a.m. — An officer reported juveniles walking near The Depot, 1 Cochituate Road. Sergeant spoke with them and parents, and escorted the youths home.
2:33 a.m. — A 911 call reported a single-car accident on Commonwealth Road, with injuries and entrapment. The vehicle had struck a hydrant and the Water Department was notified. One person was transported to Lahey Hospital.
7:28 a.m. — A person walking a dog at Heard’s Pond called 911 for help when the dog fell into the water. The dog’s owner went into the water, and both the dog and owner were safely out when first responders arrived.
Sunday, Feb. 22
1:17 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident involving two cars occurred at Cochituate Commons, 44 Main St. The registration of one car was revoked and the plates were removed by police.
Monday, Feb. 23
8:09 a.m. — A 911 call from Oxbow Road reported that a wire was down and on fire in the road. Eversource responded, cut the power, and the fire was extinguished.
9:23 a.m. — On Concord Road, a cable wire came down when a secondary pole snapped. The wire was cut and removed by the Fire Department.
10:24 a.m. — A telephone call was received from East Plain Street about a tree across the road. DPW was notified; the tree was removed.
10:28 a.m. — A resident of Country Corners Road called 911 about a large tree that had fallen, taking down wires and blocking the road. Eversource was on the scene and removing the tree.
10:50 a.m. — A caller from Alta Oxbow reported that her car was hit overnight.
11:50 a.m. — A car was reported to have gone off the roadway on Rice Road near Old Connecticut Path. No one was injured.
2:23 p.m. — A car became stuck in the snow on Lake Shore Drive. The car was freed from the roadway; the operator was cited.
7:40 p.m. — A resident of Hillside Drive called about two checks being cashed on her bank account.
Tuesday, Feb. 24
9:44 a.m. — A resident of Michael Road called police to state that a trash truck tried to run him off the road earlier in the day. The caller was advised.
2:08 p.m. — A caller from Old Connecticut Path reported a small sedan had gone off the roadway into a snowbank. A mailbox was damaged as well as a telephone pole. Eversource was notified about the pole.
Wednesday, Feb. 25
7:34 p.m. — A caller from School Street at Gregory Lane reported a party was blowing snow into the street and onto passing vehicles. An officer advised the homeowner to remove the snow from the road.
9:26 p.m. — A resident of Snake Brook Road called the Fire Department to report the smell of natural gas outside the house. The resident reported to personnel at the scene that this was an ongoing issue for the past couple of weeks.
Thursday, Feb. 26
11:12 a.m. — A caller from Andrew Avenue reported that his vehicle had been damaged while parked in the lot.
5:57 p.m. — A caller reported that the pile of snow at the intersection of Pinebrook Road and Old Connecticut Path was too high. An officer confirmed, and a message was left for the DPW.
Friday, Feb. 27
1:31 p.m. — A caller from Weston Optical, 75 Boston Post Road, requested to speak with an officer regarding a series of calls and texts she received.
2:35 p.m. — A resident of Lake Shore Drive called to report an odor of gas in the house. National Grid was notified.
2:42 p.m. — A caller from Bow Road was concerned about a dog loose in the roadway. The dog was reunited with the owner.
3:32 p.m. — A minor accident between a school bus and a car occurred at the Wayland Middle School, 197 Main St., with about 10 students on the bus. Parents were notified by the police.
Saturday, Feb. 28
6:19 p.m. — A resident of Dudley Road called police to complain about loud music playing across the pond at a party. The homeowners were advised.
Sunday, March 1
9:11 a.m. — A call was received from the director of nursing at Royal Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 188 Commonwealth Road, concerning a possible assault on a resident.
1:20 p.m. — A two-car accident at the intersection at Wayland Center resulted in injury; transport to the hospital was refused.
