For the third consecutive year, Town Manager Michael McCall received high marks in his annual performance review with a rating of 4.725 out of 5, with 5 being excellent. The evaluation was conducted by the Select Board at their March 9 meeting. Select Board Chair Carol Martin read the results of the scoring submitted by all five members of the Board.
In the evaluation, board members cited his dedication to serving the community through regularly holding office hours, attending community events, and publishing a monthly newsletter, as well as improving the function of the organization by implementing the Town Manager Act and filling vacancies. The Board also highlighted his continued progress on long-term capital planning and responsible oversight of municipal finances, resulting in sound financial management practices and a proposed budget that avoided an operating override.
