The Wayland High School Orchestra presented its Winter Concert on Dec. 17, showcasing the talents of both the String Orchestra and the Honors Sinfonia Orchestra. The program reflected weeks of collaboration in a range of styles and ensemble work
In preparing for the concert, orchestra students participated in an in-class Scottish fiddling workshop led by guest artist Elizabeth Howe. This experience introduced students to fiddling techniques and stylistic elements that were featured during each ensemble’s fiddle pieces.
The evening concluded with a combined performance by both orchestras of “Wizards in Winter”, bringing the concert to an energetic and festive ending.
