The Wayland High School Band & Jazz Programs presented its winter concert on Dec. 10 featuring the WHS Concert Band, Honors Wind Ensemble, and Honors Jazz Ensemble. The repertoire included a variety of literature, including classical, a Habanera March, a contemporary percussion feature, swing, Latin, and funk. The concert concluded with Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and the national anthem.
The audience was also treated to a pep talk video from former Boston Celtics Brian Scalabrine, who announced the WHS bands performing the national anthem at the Celtics game on Jan. 30.
