  • Trunk or Treat!

    Wayland High School 264 Old Connecticut Path

    Come join the Wayland High School's Tri-M Music Honors Society for its annual Trunk or Treat event at the Wayland High School cafeteria on Wednesday, October 29th from 5pm to 7pm! Here, kids can experience a range of spooky-themed musical activities, ranging from hearing live music played by Wayland high-schoolers themselves, to face painting and candy prizes. In addition, opportunities will be provided for children to test out many instruments for themselves. Costumes are highly encouraged! A donation of $5 per child (cash and Venmo are accepted) is strongly recommended! We hope to see you then for an amazing night!

    Wayland Concert Series presents the ensemble Primary Duo, featuring pianist Sarah Bob and percussionist Aaron Trant. The program will include works by Boston-based Black composers Montathi Masebe and Anthony Green. Sarah and Aaron will be joined by Waylander Charlie Anderson for the world premiere of a new arrangement of Mieczyslaw Weinberg's Trumpet Concerto for trumpet, piano, and percussion. The concert is free and open to all.

Visit the Wayland Museum & Historical Society, the Wayland Free Public Library, the Wayland Depot, and First Parish for an assortment of seasonal music and fun activities. The Holiday Open House at the Wayland Museum will feature festive greenery by the Wayland Garden Club, “precious pets” themed crafts by Wayland Girl Scout troops in the Stone Room alcove, musical entertainment provided by two Wayland High School groups, and a reception with tea, punch and home-made baked cookies in the Stone Room.
