    Wayland Concert Series presents the ensemble Primary Duo, featuring pianist Sarah Bob and percussionist Aaron Trant. The program will include works by Boston-based Black composers Montathi Masebe and Anthony Green. Sarah and Aaron will be joined by Waylander Charlie Anderson for the world premiere of a new arrangement of Mieczyslaw Weinberg's Trumpet Concerto for trumpet, piano, and percussion.   • Hoops for a Home Court 3v3 Basketball Tournament

    Last year, we hosted the inaugural Hoops for a Home Court 3v3 basketball tournament, which was a huge success. Over 120 boys and girls across 30+ teams from grades 1 through 8 competed, raising more than $22,000 toward building a new community sports facility. The kids had a blast playing, cheering, and connecting — and this year’s event will be even bigger, with fun prizes, raffles, and a full day of basketball and community spirit.

  • Dumping More Sewage into the Charles? Just Say No!

    The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) recently proposed a plan that would allow for sewage to continue to be dumped into the Charles River forever. During a meeting with its Board of Directors, MWRA officials presented multiple options for addressing combined sewer overflows (CSOs in the Charles, and recommended adopting the option leading to the least amount of sewage reduction. After public outcry, the proposal was pulled from the MWRA’s Nov. 19th agenda.
