Monday, Jan. 5
8:13 a.m. — A traffic accident involving two vehicles on Commonwealth Road near Old Tavern Road was called in by 911. There were no injuries reported.
8:19 a.m. — A disabled SUV on Concord Road was towed to State Road Autobody.
3:42 p.m. — At the Veritas Christian Academy (6 Loker St.) there was a motor vehicle accident involving two SUVs that was called in by 911. No injuries were reported.


Tuesday, Jan. 6
7:24 a.m. — A resident of Shaw Drive telephoned to register a complaint about loud construction nearby that began prior to 7:00 a.m. The party was advised.
9:45 a.m. — A 911 call reported an accident between two motor vehicles on Commonwealth Road; both were towed to State Road Auto Body.
12:05 p.m. — A caller from Snake Brook Road reported an odor of natural gas in the area of his and his neighbor’s house. National Grid was notified.
1:07 p.m. — A 911 call reported a large tire on the side of Cochituate Road near the center. MassDOT was notified for removal.
3:51 p.m. — A resident of Boston Post Road telephoned to discuss his concern that his son had been scammed online.
3:38 p.m. — A traffic accident occurred at Cochituate and Millbrook Roads between two cars.
3:39 p.m. — A caller from Sycamore Road reported a low-hanging wire. The Fire Department confirmed a wire drop and notified the telephone company.


Wednesday, Jan. 7
1:21 a.m. — A driver reported icy road conditions on Sherman’s Bridge Road at Concord Road. DPW was notified.
8:35 a.m. — A minor accident involving three motor vehicles occurred at Happy Hollow School.
11:12 a.m. — Fire Department informed wires were down on Shore Drive; Eversource was notified.
3:14 p.m. — A traffic crash between two vehicles occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station (19 Main St.). No injuries were reported and no towing was necessary.
5:56 p.m. — A caller reported their vehicle was stalled on the roadway on Old Connecticut Path at Stonebridge Road. While an officer on the scene directed traffic around the vehicle, passersby provided a jump start, and the vehicle left the scene under its own power.
7:28 p.m. — A 911 call reported a fire inside an oven. The Fire Department moved the oven outside and ventilated the residence.


Thursday, Jan. 8
1:03 p.m. — A resident of Forty Acres Drive reported solicitors on the street ignored a posted “no soliciting” sign. The responding officer found the solicitor had a valid permit. Parties were advised.
3:46 p.m. — A 911 caller from Green Way said her dog had fallen through the ice into the Sudbury River. Responding personnel entered the water to get the dog. Both safely exited the water; medical attention was refused.
4:26 p.m. — A 911 caller reported an erratic motor vehicle. Responding police arrested Joseph Kevin Lydon, 26, 11 Lodge Road, Wayland, charging him with OUI (second offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
4:34 p.m. — A resident of Joyce Road reported an odor of gas in her home. The gas company was notified.


Friday, Jan. 9
8:24 a.m. — A gas leak was reported by a caller from the Middlesex Savings Bank (1 Andrew Ave.). The Fire Department discovered pilots were out at the restaurant next door. The businesses were ventilated and pilots were relit.


Saturday, Jan. 10
11:38 a.m. — An officer removed a wooden pallet from the roadway at Old Sudbury Road and Andrew Avenue. DPW was notified.
4:32 p.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident occurred at Domino’s Pizza (25 Main St), called in by 911.


Sunday, Jan. 11
7:47 a.m. — Police Department received a call that a tree was blocking Rice Road at Covered Bridge Lane. An officer removed the tree.
1:00 p.m. — A 911 call reported a large tree branch blocking Pleasant Street near Parkland Drive. Police partially cleared the roadway and called DPW to remove what remained.


Monday, Jan. 12
6:18 p.m. — A caller reported a fire and smoke coming from a telephone pole near School Street and Gregory Lane. Police and Fire personnel confirmed arcing from the pole and notified Eversource.
7:23 p.m. — Public Safety notified Mass Highway of an ice patch on Route 20 westbound at the Sudbury River bridge.


Tuesday, Jan. 13
7:10 p.m. — Activation of a residential smoke alarm at a boarding house on Loker Street was called in by the alarm company. The manager said the alarm may have been set off by smoke from the kitchen. The Fire Department checked the house and reset the alarm.


Wednesday, Jan. 14
1:28 p.m. — A resident of Grove Street came to the station to discuss a possible scam.
2:10 p.m. — A caller reported someone climbing the fence at the overpass on Oak Street. The party was transported to a hospital.
2:18 p.m. — Police radioed that there was a two-car accident at Boston Post and Glen Roads.
4:43 p.m. — A caller notified police that a German shepherd was loose in the Hamlen Woods parking lot. An officer on the scene returned the dog to its owner.


Thursday, Jan. 15
1:01 a.m — A dead coyote was found on Boston Post Road near Alta Oxbow. Mass Highway was notified.


Friday, Jan. 16
10:13 a.m. — A caller from Maguire Road reported seeing a large black dog off leash attack a group of other dogs. The animal was determined to belong to a resident of Pleasant Street. The caller was able to return the dog to its home and, as the resident was not home, secured it.
12:41 p.m. — 911 call about a two-car accident on Old Connecticut Path.


Saturday, Jan. 17
1:42 p.m. — A two-car accident at the Landfill (484 Boston Post Road) was reported.
1:54 p.m. — A 911 caller reported a crash between two cars at Waltham and Concord Roads, which resulted in the stop sign being knocked down.
3:10 p.m. — A caller reported the odor of gas by the Town Hall and church at Cochituate and Millbrook roads. The Fire Department confirmed the smell of gas at the Public Safety Building and at the intersection of Routes 20, 27 and 126. The gas company was notified.
3:56 p.m. — A party entered the station to report that a vehicle was parked on the side of Old Connecticut Path near Route 20 with front end damage. The car was retrieved by AAA. It was later identified as having been in an accident at Rice Road near Turkey Hill Road.


Sunday, Jan. 18
7:18 p.m. — A single vehicle accident occurred on Old Connecticut Path when the car hit a telephone pole; no injuries reported.
7:50 p.m. — A caller reported an accident involving one car, which occurred on Rice Road and Old Connecticut Path; no injuries were reported.
8:26 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist whose car was stuck in the snow at a stop sign at Millbrook and Glen roads.
8:49 p.m. — A minor single-car accident was called in by 911; the crash occurred on Plain Road. The car was towed.
