Michele R. Patterson, 64, died Dec. 2, at her residence in Wayland following a period of declining health.
She was born in Great Falls, Mont., Jan. 12, 1961, to Michael B. Patterson of Wayland and the late Kay Frances (Curry) Patterson, who died July 2, 2022.
Besides her father Michael of Wayland, she is survived by her sisters, Jennifer Van Steenburg of Sudbury and Suzanne Griscom of Shoreline, Wash.; and her brother Lance Patterson of Chevy Chase, Md. She was the aunt of Chase Van Steenburg of Los Angeles; Hayley Van Steenburg of Cambridge; Ben and Katy Griscom of Shoreline, Wash; and Brooke Patterson of Chevy Chase, Md.
Michele was a graduate of Acton High School and received her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
She spent the majority of her youth traveling with her family throughout the United States and overseas as a military child. In later years, she resided in San Diego and Wayland. In her earlier years, she was a recreation director with the Longfellow Health Club of Wayland.
At the request of her family, all services for Michele will be private and at a later date in North Cemetery, Wayland with her mother Kay. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests that gifts in Michele’s memory may be sent to the Wayland Community Fund, 73 Pelham Island Road #196, Wayland MA 01778.
