Last year, we hosted the inaugural Hoops for a Home Court 3v3 basketball tournament, which was a huge success. Over 120 boys and girls across 30+ teams from grades 1 through 8 competed, raising more than $22,000 toward building a new community sports facility. The kids had a blast playing, cheering, and connecting — and this year’s event will be even bigger, with fun prizes, raffles, and a full day of basketball and community spirit.

INSTRUMENT EXPLORERS - age 4.5 - 6 with a caregiver For children who have outgrown early childhood music classes, and are ALMOST READY for formal study. Getting ready to start an instrument, but not sure which one to choose? Students will meet* a different instrument each week (piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, harp and guitar), and have a chance to try each one. The evening will open with live jazz from the WHS Jazz Band, appetizers, an engaging facilitated conversation designed to foster connection, a silent auction, and a preview of upcoming WaylandCAN events and workshops.
