Good morning, as chair of the select board, I'm calling the meeting Thursday, August 13, 2026, to order at 10 a.m.
This is a Zoom-only meeting. This meeting may be recorded, and if recorded, it will be made available to the public on WACAM as soon as possible after the meeting.
The public will be excluded from the executive sessions, which is what the purpose of today's meeting is.
Pursuant to Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025, this meeting is being conducted via remote access in accordance with applicable law.
No in-person attendance by members of the public is permitted, and if you wish to watch the meeting, you may do so through the link on the select board's agenda or on the meeting calendar.
When required by law or allowed by the chair, persons wishing to provide public comment or otherwise participate in the meeting may do so at the meeting location,
excuse me, may do so online.
Only remotely, public comment should be limited to two minutes per person.
So joining me in the room this morning is Mr. Fay, Mr. Levine, Mr. Reynolds, myself, Carol Martin.
We are being assisted by Jalyn Braddock, our management self-analyst.

And Abby Warman, who is the executive assistant to the town council.
I believe Mr. Whitney will be joining us shortly.
So this morning's very short agenda.
Looks like we're also being joined by the town manager, Mr. McCall.
Good morning, Michael.
We are going to have, obviously, just announcements and public comment in open session.
And then, like I said, the purpose of this morning's meeting is to conduct the select board's periodic review of our executive session minutes.
So we will enter into executive session after public comment.
We will undertake and review prior minutes that have been approved related to, in accordance with Chapter 38, Section 21A7, a number of sets of minutes related to discussions of accession minutes, related to the purchase and exchange of 14 West Plains Street, related to negotiations
through nonunion personnel, in this case the town manager, related to strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the public employees committee agreement.
That's common.
It's common.
We will have a meeting of the town council at 9 o'clock P.M.
The momentum that will be made.
And at 5 o'clock we will air our Q&A time.
And to give you ahold of that is a community discussion.
That's causing more and more discussion as part of the meeting scheduled for this morning.
