All right. Today is October 8, 2026. It is 143 p.m. And this is a meeting of the Housing Authority of Wayland Board of Commissioners. I'm Susan Weinstein, pleased to be joined by Mary Antes. And so where's Denise? He's sitting beside me. Oh, Denise Fortin, Brian Bogia, Lynn Poisson, and Marie Eisenberg. Thank you all for being here. And Abigail Warren.
So this meeting is being conducted remote only. It's being recorded. It'll be available on WACAM. And this is all in accordance with applicable law, including Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025.
So there is no in-person attendance. This is only remote. Our agenda, Brian, is? The Bent Clark Wastewater Piping Replacement Contract Awards. Right here. And then we'll review our meeting schedule and then we'll adjourn. All right. My apologies. Okay. So are there any announcements to be had? All right. Then, Brian, would you please talk about the Bent Park Wastewater Piping Replacement Contract Award issue? Sure. We got six bids for the replacement of the piping, wastewater piping, ranging from the high of $284,000 to a low of $131,000. And the architect, the engineers reviewed the proposals and references and they find that the low bid, the low on our plumbing of Saugus Mass is the lowest qualified bid and recommend that we award that contract.
Okay. If we can't trust our architect, who can we trust?
I didn't know what he said. I don't know. I guess so. As much as any architect, engineer. There you go. I'm sorry, Mary, what did you say?
Mary didn't say anything.
Oh, okay. Do people have any questions? Brian, just to clarify, this is for the horizontal pipes only? That's right. Not the vertical pipes. And they will be installed at a pitch that will allow them to drain and help avoid back up in the verticals. No standing water, right? That's the goal. All right. Mm-hmm. Is there a motion to approve the contract bid of $131,316 from Gliona? Is that what it says? Yeah. Plumbing and Heating Services Incorporated of Saugus? For the Bent Park wastewater pipe replacement. So moved. Thank you. Thank you. Any discussion? Anybody?
We will do a roll call vote.
So, Mary? Yes. Would you vote? No, just kidding. Denise? Yes. Hey, Brian, can you tilt your thing so that we can just have Denise on the record for that?
There she is.
Okay. I mean, seeing as much of her as we do of Mary, so we're okay. And I am a yes as well. So, please proceed with the contract with those people. Great. Thank you. Our next meeting is? October 22nd, 1.30 p.m. at Bent Park. 1.30? 1.30? No, actually, 6.30. I'm sorry.
So, 6.30, October 22nd.
22nd.
An in-person meeting at Bent Park.
Okay.
Prior to the last 48 hours, I did receive a call from a commissioner of the Sudbury Housing Authority,
and their executive director is leaving. So, I'm hoping that maybe two members of our board can meet with a couple of members of their board and just see if there's any reason to think about doing something together. So, I will probably reach out to JT and see if he has any bandwidth for it.
Okay.
All right. All right. Anything further to be done?
Is there a motion to adjourn?
I'm so sorry again for being late. Is there a motion to adjourn the meeting? It's 1.48 p.m. So moved. Thank you. Second. Thank you. All right. Let's do a vote. Denise? Yes. Mary? Yes. And I'm a yes. Thank you guys very much.
