Okay. It is 6.07 p.m. and pursuant to Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2025. This meeting will be conducted in person. Excuse me. On every meeting, we're going to waive the preamble. Oh, that's great. We're going to waive it. The public can see it on the posting. And we're just going to waive the preamble and dive into business. Okay. In that case, it's 6.07 p.m. I'll call this meeting to order by roll call vote. Steve Klipgård here. Zach Vanceworth here.
E.G. Brandon here.
Okay. We have a quorum. The meeting is called to order. And are there any public comment? No public online. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. Does everyone have their package? 06M meeting minute, meeting materials? Yep. Yes. E.G. You have yours? Yes. Okay, great. We're going to go to page, page three in the package. Board of Assessors, minutes for Monday, April 13th. This was open session. There are two pages, page three and page four in your package.
Please review.
I have no questions. Could I have someone to propose we accept the March, April 13th, the Monday, April 13th meetings as presented? Yep. I can do that since I have a screen and I'm back online. So, I move that we accept the minutes for Monday, April 13th, 2026 as presented in the meeting packet. Okay. Can I have a second? I second. All those in favor? Beth McNeely, yes. I have to abstain.
Yee, you have a question?
No, I just said I probably should abstain because I was not at the meeting. You may vote. Yeah, so, Yee-Gee, you are, maybe since it is your first meeting, you can abstain, but it is okay to review the minutes and have not attended in order to kind of vote and approve on them. So, just so you know, like as a standard for protocol for the town. Okay. Okay. Very good. And I approve it. Therefore, it's approved. Unanimous. Thank you. Okay.
So, that takes care of the minutes.

Hold on, please.

We have no correspondence and documents for the board to review and or sign.
Moving on to director's review and update of office activities.
Early in January, we sent out a request for proposals for interim years 2027, 2028, and
recertification year 2029 for real estate and personal property services. Those bidders, those successful bidders were awarded contracts within the last couple of weeks. We're continuing working with Bishop and Associates for real estate services, and we're going to continue working with RRC, real estate research consultants, for personal property services. And I wanted to congratulate both of those entities as we look forward to work, continue working with them. And we feel very confident that we'll continue getting excellent support from both of them. Building permit reporting from the building department. The office procedural procedures have changed. So, we once received paper building permit copies from the building department. We are now foregoing paper copies altogether, and we have logins here in the office to go into OpenGov and see all of their activities, including building permits. And we download what we want. We print what we want, and we will continue to do so. We've turned the tide on paper.
Building permits, cyclical, sales inspections, we're back heavy.
The abatement season is over, so we're ongoing with all three inspections. The general office activity, as usual, ongoing. We have the creation of a new abatement exemption certificate form. We have an inherited problem. We've had an inherited problem with munis. Our accounting software, to print certificates for abatements and exemptions. Munis, for some reason, on this output, does not do any cumulative accounting. So, if your real estate bill started at $1,000, and then you got an abatement for real estate, and then you got an exemption for senior tax workoff, and you got an exemption for circuit breaker and CPA, the certificates don't do any of the math. It's very, very confusing. It's very, very confusing. Our problem, we've dealt with it internally up until last week, where it jumped across the hall to the tax collector's office, and we took it upon ourselves. We're going to snuff this problem. We're creating our own form. We're going to track it ourselves.
So, we can put at the bottom of the form, this has been approved by the DOR, blah, blah, blah.
So, that's where we are there. We're also finalizing abatement and exemption reporting in-house. So, we're tidying up all the spreadsheets. We're filing things away. We're putting things in dead storage in the vault. So, we're doing a lot of clerical work to tidy up and continue moving forward into FY 2027. Topics, if any, not reasonably anticipated by the Board of Assessor Chair 48 hours in advance of the meeting. Are there any topics? And we will note those topics. We will add them to next meeting's agenda. Okay? So, there will be no discussion on these topics, but we will add them for the future meeting. Are there any topics? Yeah, none that I'm aware of. I have none. None.
None.
Terrific. Thank you, folks.
Are there any members' thoughts and concerns?
I'm all set. None. None. Yeah, all set. Thank you. The proposed date of our next meeting is Monday, June 1st. Yiji has already told me she will not be available. So, I'll have that noted. And share as part of the minutes, as well as the text that the individual text you'll receive from me as a reminder. So, again, our next proposed meeting is Monday, June 1st, 6 o'clock for the open session and 6.30 for the executive session. Stephen Clickgood, would you be so kind to let the public know why we're going to adjourn this meeting and enter into executive session and then follow up with a move to adjourn? I will do that. At 6.15 p.m., the meeting to adjourn to enter an executive session for purposes of complying with GLC 59, Section 60 and GLC 214, Section 1B as permitted by Purpose 7 of GLC 30A, Section 21A to review and discuss the following. Review meetings of Monday, April 13th, executive session, vote to accept and release. Motor vehicle abatements, month of April, 2026, vote to accept. 2026, real estate abatement, vote to deny. 2020, FY 2026, real estate exemptions, April 2nd, 2026 to present, vote to deny. FY 2026, veterans exemptions, MDM 1 and MVE reimbursements, acknowledgement, Department of Revenue Circuit Breaker annual meeting update, and FY 2025 ATB case docket number F354306, F354307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 313. BOS Retail 1, LLC versus Weyland update, FY 2025 ATB case docket number F354301, 202, Weyland LLC versus Weyland update. Note, the board will not return to open meeting. There's a roll call to adjourn at 6.17 p.m.
Steve Klitgord?
Zach Ventress? E.G. Brennan? Okay. And see everybody on the other side.
