Monday, August 25
8:03 a.m. — A call from Starbucks (44 Main St) reported that a patron was locked in the bathroom. Fire Department assisted in opening the door.
9:41 a.m. — A resident of Lake Road called for assistance with an injured hawk in his yard. A message was sent to bird rehabilitator Alison Webber.

Tuesday, August 26
2:22 p.m. — A small brush fire was called in from Bent Park Elderly Housing (12 Bent Ave). It was extinguished by the Fire Department.
6:06 p.m. — A 911 call reported a dog in the roadway on Boston Post Road. Responding officer found the dog had not been struck, but had medical issues. It was transported to the vet by its owner.
9:13 p.m. — A report of a traffic accident between a car and a motorcycle at East Plain and School Streets was called in by 911. One person was transported to Lahey Hospital and the motorcycle was towed to State Road Autobody.


Wednesday, August 27
1:37 p.m. — A party walked into the station to report a single-car motor vehicle accident at Einstein Bagels (44 Main St).
1:49 p.m. — A resident of Aqueduct Road walked in to report that a vehicle plate had been stolen from his SUV earlier in the day.
2:41 p.m. — DPW called from Claypit Hill School (40 Adams Ln) that two youths were riding dirt bikes on the field. Sergeant found no damage to the field, and spoke with the youths and DPW.
4:03 p.m. — A caller from Walgreen’s (35 Main St) stated that a male party on a red motorcycle, sporting an orange helmet, approached two boys, approximately 8 to 10 years old, and asked if they wanted to see his motorcycle. The responding officer found all parties had left in their own directions of travel.


Thursday, August 28
1:12 a.m. — Fire Department reported a party in the field at the Town Hall (41 Cochituate Road). Responding officer spoke with two youths; their parents were contacted and picked them up.
7:35 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident involving three cars was called in by 911 from Boston Post Road at the Post Office.
8:32 a.m. — A caller from Aqueduct Road reported that a sign in the middle of the road was obstructing traffic.
2:47 p.m. A two-car traffic accident at West Plain Street and Barber Way was called in by 911.
6:15 p.m. — A caller who was at the Town Beach (27 Parkland Dr) reported a German shepherd that was being very aggressive. The responding officer advised the owner and caller.
8:07 p.m. — A resident of Old Connecticut Path was concerned about a bat in their home. An officer was able to assist in removing the bat.


Friday, August 29
2:25 p.m. — A caller from Pemberton Road reported a wire down across the driveway. Verizon was notified.
3:15 p.m. — A resident of Standish Road called to state that a man in his 20’s was going door to door on behalf of EcoShield Pest Control. An officer spoke with the solicitor.
3:51 p.m. — A caller from Launcher Way stated that a male, approximately 20-30 years of age, was going door to door on behalf of EcoShield. Responding officer advised the party, who was told to leave the area.
9:01 p.m. — A caller from Woodland Road was concerned someone was following members of his family. Responding sergeant stated it was most likely a private investigator, and the caller was advised.


Saturday, August 30
11:43 a.m. — A call from Wayland Middle School (197 Main St) requested an officer to check on a male party who was walking on the sidewalk and then in the roadway on Cochituate Road at School Street. Officer provided a courtesy transport of the party to the Natick town line.
5:32 p.m. — A 911 call reported that a tree had fallen on wires along Woodridge Road. Eversource was notified.


Sunday, August 31
8:56 a.m. — A resident of Orchard Lane called with concern about a sick crow in her yard. The crow flew away upon officer’s arrival.
2:06 p.m. — Fire Department responded to a resident reporting an odor of gasoline in his vehicle and garage. No hazard was found; the resident had his vehicle towed to a mechanic.


Monday, Sept. 1
2:41 p.m. — A resident of Alta Oxbow (490 Boston Post Rd) walked into the station to report a larceny.
Tuesday, Sept. 2
6:29 p.m. — A caller from Oxbow Road stated that a white male with a white cap and black track suit was going door to door, supposedly for Eversource, but she did not believe he had a solicitor’s permit. Responding officer advised the parties.


Wednesday, Sept. 3
2:09 p.m. — A resident of Commonwealth Road came to the station to report an internet scam.
5:12 p.m. — A Pleasant Street resident called to report a very aggressive solicitor, calling himself Mike, was requesting to enter the home to look at the chimney. He was described as 6 feet tall, 250 to 280 lbs, wearing a hat with a flag on it and driving a white pickup truck. Police did not locate him.
5:25 p.m. A motor vehicle crash at Concord Road and Glezen Lane involving a car and an SUV was called into 911. Two people were transported by ambulance to Emerson Hospital and the vehicles were towed to State Road Autobody.
7:58 p.m. — A resident of Sylvan Way called 911 to report that reps from Trinity Solar were soliciting. Police advised the reps that they needed permits to go door to door.


Thursday, Sept. 4
3:40 p.m. — The Fire Department assisted a caller who was locked out of a car at the Wayland Public Library (5 Concord Rd).
3:46 p.m. — A caller at Loker School reported a woman in a dark colored pickup truck with NH plates taking photos of the school. The party was advised.


Friday, Sept. 5
9:08 a.m. — A report was received from Glen Road of a large tree that fell and pulled down wires. Verizon was notified, and DPW was to respond for clean up.
10:34 a.m. — A caller on Boston Post Road reported that there was a golden retriever in traffic. The owner returned home and took the dog inside.


Saturday, Sept. 6
4:44 p.m. — A 911 caller from Oxbow Road said that a tree was across the road with wires on the roadway. The area was without power. Eversource was notified and police closed the roadway.
4:55 p.m. — A resident of Three Ponds Road called 911 to report a large tree across the roadway with wires down. Eversource was notified.
4:56 p.m. — A caller from Heard Pond reported a tree across Pelham Island Road. DPW was notified, and the road was closed by police.
6:17 p.m. — Another caller from Pelham Island Road reported a large tree fell and pulled down wires. Eversource was notified.
8:43 p.m. — Station received several reports of a tree blocking the south lane of travel on Concord Road near Sage Hill Road. The tree was pushed off the roadway.
9:43 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident at 5 Paths (Old Connecticut Path and Cochituate Road) was reported by a 911 call. Two vehicles were involved; one person was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital and both cars were towed to State Road Autobody. Eversource was notified that support to a utility pole was broken in the accident. One operator, Stephen Marini, 78, of Wellesley, MA, was arrested for OUI and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.


Sunday, Sept. 7
9:51 p.m. — A caller from Draper Road said that a tree was down across the roadway. The area was taped off and DPW was notified.
