Monday, Oct. 27
9:33 a.m.—A minor 2-car motor vehicle accident with no injuries occurred on Commonwealth Road.
11:05 a.m.—A caller reported a minor crash between two pickup trucks on Old Connecticut Path, with no injuries.
4:39 p.m.—A 911 call from the Royal Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (188 Commonwealth Rd) reported that a staff member had been physically assaulted by a patient. The injured person was transported to hospital.
4:48 p.m.—A caller from Donelan’s Market (177 Commonwealth Rd) wanted to report an incident of shoplifting.
5:51 p.m.—A telephone call from the Royal Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (188 Commonwealth Rd) state that there had been an assault between residents. There were no injuries and the parties had been separated.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
3:24 p.m.—A person calling from the South Cemetery (68 Cochituate Rd) reported that a man was attempting to dig up a grave. Responding officer confirmed that the man was restoring headstones.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
10:26 a.m.—A caller from Shaw Drive stated that the landlord had entered the apartment without proper notice.
9:07 p.m.—An employee calling from the Villa Restaurant (124 E. Plain St) reported there was an inebriated person at the bar; the person took an Uber home and left their vehicle overnight.
Thursday, Oct. 30
7:13 a.m.—A caller from Stonebridge Road reported a dead deer in the roadway. The carcass was removed from the roadway and Animal Control was notified.
12:52 p.m.—A motor vehicle crash between two cars occurred on Old Connecticut Path; no injuries were reported.
2:48 p.m.—A resident of Sylvan Way came to the station to ask for follow-up on some low hanging wires that had temporarily been tied up to a tree limb. The Fire Department notified Eversource of the situation.
Friday, Oct. 31
2:57 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Six calls were received about trees or branches blocking roadways on Rice Road, Concord Road, Woodridge Road, Pelham Island Road, Cochituate Road and Goodman Lane.
10:55 a.m.—A resident of Melody Lane telephoned to complain about a trespasser who walks a dog on their property and does not clean up after it. The responding officer advised the parties.
3:55 p.m.—A person called from Cochituate Road near the Trinitarian Congregational Church with an alert about a driver crossing marked lanes and tailgating. A citation was issued.
7:15 p.m.—A resident of Sycamore Road reported a loud bang and sudden loss of power. Officers found a tree on the wires, taped off the area, and notified the electric company.
8:47 p.m.—A caller from Andrew Avenue reported a strong odor of natural gas on the second floor. National Grid found a gas leak in a 2nd floor furnace. Fire Department requested a call to maintenance.
10:14 p.m.—Fire Department received multiple calls about wires down with a tree and bush on fire near Glen and Michael Roads. The fire unit responded and Eversource was notified.
10:18 p.m.—A 911 rescue call came from a resident of Brook Trail, where a tree fell into a house. Calls were placed to the Red Cross, building inspector, Eversource, and National Grid; electric and gas meters were pulled. The homeowners found accommodations for the night.
10:20 p.m.—A Rice Road caller reported a large branch in the road, still attached to the tree and blocking the lane. The Highway Department was notified, and cones were set up to direct traffic into the single lane that was still open and passable.
Saturday, Nov. 1
12:09 a.m.—A 911 caller reported a tree down on Old Connecticut Path near the High School. It was moved to the side of the road.
12:12 a.m. to 9:52 a.m. Numerous calls were received about fallen trees blocking roadways and/or wires down, at Wayland High School, Sears Road, Adams Lane, Sherman’s Bridge Road, Dudley Road, Glezen Lane, Garden Path, and Concord Road .
8:21 a.m.—A resident of Commonwealth Road called 911 to report an unwanted party on his property, namely a contractor who threatened him. Police spoke with the parties.
Sunday, Nov. 2
7:59 p.m.—A call from Plain Road indicated there was a deer lying in the road. Animal Control was notified and will pick up in the morning.
11:09 p.m.—Multiple alarms going off at the Sunoco station at 19 Main St were investigated; the front door glass had been broken.
11:39 p.m.—A breaking and entry occurred at the Mobil station at 315 Commonwealth Rd. Responding officer reported the glass front door had been broken.
Monday, Nov. 3
12:29 p.m.—A resident of Orchard Lane called police with concern about a white male in his 30’s who walked on his property and approached him aggressively. Officers located the party and he was advised.
Tuesday, Nov. 4
1:28 p.m.—A caller from Commonwealth Road reported people next door have been trespassing on her property. An officer spoke to those neighbors about the complaint.
2:52 p.m.—Police advised the highway department of a large tree limb blocking a lane of travel on Concord Road at Sherman’s Bridge Road.
5:05 p.m.—A two-car accident on Boston Post Road was called in by 911; no injuries occurred.
5:36 p.m.—A fire box alarm from Main Street was received, with response by Wayland, Weston and Natick stations. The Fire Department reported it was a malicious pull of a fire alarm.
Wednesday, Nov. 5
9:16 a.m.—A 911 call from Claypit Hill Road concerned a motor vehicle rollover with possible injuries. One person was taken to the hospital.
9:24 a.m.—A two-car accident at Starbuck’s (44 Main St) was telephoned in. No injuries were reported.
12:29 p.m.—Police were called to Stop & Shop (101 Andrew Ave) about a shoplifting incident, which remains under investigation.
4:14 p.m.—A motor vehicle accident involving 3 trucks occurred on Boston Post Road. The trailer from one truck was towed.
4:16 p.m.—A resident of Old Connecticut Path called to report that a snow blower was stolen from his front yard.
Thursday, Nov. 6
9:06 p.m.—A minor motor vehicle accident resulting in a utility pole being split vertically was reported in the station. Eversource was called to the scene.
Friday, Nov. 7
11:50 p.m.—A resident of Main Street called 911 concerning a neighbor who was screaming and throwing items at the walls and door.
Saturday, Nov. 8
4:14 p.m.—A caller from the Wayland Country Club (121 Old Sudbury Rd) reported that someone may have tried to break into a maintenance shed the previous night.
6:36 p.m. – A phone call from Boston Post Road concerning a vehicle pulled off to the side of the road led to the arrest of Michael Celicourt, 32, of Dorchester MA, for OUI and possession of an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
8:38 thru 10:03 p.m.—Police received several calls concerning loud music coming from the vicinity of Commonwealth Road and Loker Street. Parties were advised.
Sunday, Nov. 9
8:24 a.m.—A caller from Lake Shore Drive reported a large truck drove through the “Road Closed” signs and further caved in the road, causing significant damage. DPW was notified.
10:58 a.m.—Traffic lights at Wayland Center were found to be blinking red in all four directions. The lights were successfully reset.
11:05 p.m.—A resident of Commonwealth Road reported a dead deer in his front yard. It was moved to curbside and animal control was notified.
4:05 p.m.—A resident of Andrew Avenue called police to report the theft of money from her apartment.
