The Wayland Post is pleased to announce James and Meaghan Winokur of 21 Bow Road as the winners of this year’s Halloween Home Decorations Contest. Their cheerful and creative display captured the spirit of the season, combining classic Halloween fun with neighborhood warmth.
The Winokurs said they began decorating their home only recently, inspired by their young granddaughter and the neighborhood’s growing number of children.
“We’ve lived here for many years, but just started decorating like this last year,” said James Winokur. “Our granddaughter and the kids nearby love it, and we thought it would be fun for everyone.”
Their front yard glowed with pumpkins, ghosts, and a friendly black cat—bringing smiles to trick-or-treaters and neighbors alike. Photos of the Winokur home will be featured in this week’s Halloween edition of The Wayland Post and highlighted on the Post’s website and social media.
The Post’s Halloween Home and & Costume Ccontests invited residents to showcase their creativity in two categories: Best Home Decorations and Best Costume. Submissions poured in from across town, reflecting Wayland’s community spirit and festive imagination.
Congratulations to the Winokur family for helping light up Wayland with Halloween cheer!
