Mosaic Heart or Jewelry Workshop

Take a break from the everyday and spend an inspiring afternoon creating art with Arts Wayland member Amy Marks. These relaxed, hands-on mosaic workshops invite you to design and complete either a decorative round mosaic mirror or a mosaic heart in a single afternoon. Choose from a wide selection of materials — including millefiori, beads, recycled jewelry, and glass — to bring your design to life. Participants are encouraged to bring pieces of costume jewelry that hold personal meaning to incorporate into their mosaic, making each finished piece truly unique. $80.

Bring Your Art to Life Through Video

As part of the Margaret Stewart Masterclass Series, join us for a live, in-person workshop with award-winning filmmaker and PBS producer Roberto Mighty, MFA. This dynamic two-hour session will teach artists how to confidently share their creative journey through video using only a smartphone and free tools. Participants will learn how to hook an audience on camera, use narrative structure to tell the story of their artistic process, capture strong visuals with simple lighting and framing techniques, and edit polished videos using the CapCut app with text and music. $25.

Conversations, Not Confrontations

This continuation of a four-session workshop is all about building skills for real-life and online conversations — especially with people whose life experiences or perspectives differ from your own. Together, we’ll practice how to show up with curiosity and self-awareness, even when conversations feel uncomfortable or perspectives don’t align. Jamele Adams, an educator, facilitator, and community peacemaker, will lead these in-person sessions where participants can practice empathetic listening, learn from one another, and build trust and connection. Together, participants will choose the discussion topic for each session. By the end, you’ll have concrete tools to engage across differences — face-to-face and online. Free.

Discover the relaxing and creative Zentangle Method, an easy-to-learn approach to creating beautiful, structured patterns. In the Beginner Zentangle class, students will learn the eight original steps of the Zentangle Method, foundational tangles (patterns), and basic principles and vocabulary. Sound Journey

A transformational sonic experience is an immersive sound healing event blending gentle movement, breathwork, and groundbreaking live music into one deeply restorative evening. Co hosted by Dave Fiuczynski, Professor at Berklee College of Music, and Nissa Diantina, this unique offering begins with 20 to 25 minutes of guided breathwork and stretching to ground the body. The journey then flows into a 40 to 45 minute meditative soundscape performed live on Fiuczynski’s custom double neck guitar tuned to healing frequencies. Unlike traditional sound baths, this experience weaves live performance, microtonal textures, and ambient sound design with mindful movement. $30.

Dylan is the creator and host of the acclaimed podcast “Conversations with People Who Hate Me,” a Webby Award–winning series praised for its powerful exploration of empathy and human connection.
