1:10 p.m. — The Fire Department responded to a call from Linn Lane, where a resident was concerned about a small brush fire in the yard.
3:21 p.m. — There was a report of landscape items in the roadway of Cochituate Road near the intersection with Boston Post Road. The items were removed.
5:49 p.m. — A report of a disabled motor vehicle on Boston Post Road at Winthrop Road was called in by an officer, who waited with the party until a ride arrived.
6:10 p.m. A caller reported that three juveniles set a small camping fire on a fire access road near 50 Commonwealth Rd. The fire, which turned out to be in Natick, was extinguished, and Natick police were notified.
Tuesday, June 24
12:29 a.m. — On Boston Post Road at the Wayland Car Clinic, police assisted a lost motorist.
4:12 a.m. — A resident of Bent Avenue received help after being locked out of their apartment.
2:53 p.m. — A resident in the vicinity of Training Field and Concord Roads called to report that a tree limb had fallen on his vehicle. Officers cleared the debris from the roadway.
Wednesday, June 25
10:10 a.m. — A call was made to the police chief regarding a suspicious male in the Wayland High School building who ran when asked for identification or reason for being there. He was described as 6’2″ with dirty blonde hair, wearing a pink tie-dye shirt and pink shorts. He drove away in a gray Audi.
Thursday, June 26
8:49 a.m. — A resident of High Rock Road reported a fire. The Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire, and notified Eversource to cut the power.
9:23 a.m. — The manager of a store at 44 Main St. reported that a customer threw an item at an employee the day before. Detectives responded and the parties were advised.
12:08 p.m. — A caller from Oxbow Road reported a large bird dead in the roadway. Police identified the bird as a chicken and moved it to the side of the road.
1:21 p.m. — A High Rock Road resident reported that a package was stolen from their doorstep.
6:58 p.m. — Several calls and alarms were received concerning a house fire on Emerson Road. Fire crews struck a second alarm; they stretched a line into the kitchen and also rescued the resident’s dog. The fire was knocked down pretty quickly. Wayland received mutual aid from the Framingham, Lincoln, Natick and Weston Fire Departments. Crews from Concord and Wellesley covered Wayland’s stations.
Friday, June 27
12:33 p.m. — A person on Old Farm Circle called about a natural gas leak. The Fire Department responded, and National Grid arrived on the scene a few minutes later.
4:10 p.m. — A 911 caller reported a vehicle being operated erratically on Commonwealth Road near Oak Street. Police responded and a citation was issued.
6:33 p.m. — A caller from Weir Meadow Path at Oxbow Road reported that a tree was blocking the roadway. Police taped off the area and notified the DPW.
Saturday, June 28
3:12 p.m. — A two-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Old Connecticut Path and Boston Post Road.
9:34 p.m. — Police assisted Weston police at the town line, apprehending an operator who failed to stop. The vehicle was towed to State Road Auto Body.

Monday, June 30
11:24 a.m. — Police assisted a person who was locked out of their car at Wayland Country Club (121 Old Sudbury Rd).
12:59 p.m. — Police responded to a call reporting that two men were arguing loudly outside the Stop & Shop at 101 Andrew Ave.
6:45 p.m. — A caller reported a tree had fallen on his Jeffrey Road property and was lying on some wires. Eversource was notified.
7:29 p.m. — An alarm company notified the Fire Department about a reading in a building on Old Sudbury Road. The FD found a running vehicle inside a barn and provided ventilation.
Tuesday, July 1
3:15 p.m. A 911 call reported a two-vehicle accident at Boston Post Road at Plain Road. There were no injuries.
Wednesday, July 2
12:08 p.m. — A call from a resident of Sedgemeadow Road reported a large tree had fallen and taken down wires. The Fire Department blocked the roadway and Eversource was notified.
6:28 p.m. — A traffic accident involving two cars occurred at the office building at 16 Boston Post Rd. There were no injuries reported.
9:00 p.m. — A resident of Hillside Drive requested assistance in shutting off the water to the house.
Thursday, July 3
1:07 p.m. — A 911 call reported a motor vehicle accident involving three cars at Boston Post Road just east of the intersection at Wayland Center. Three people were transported to area hospitals.
2:31 p.m. — A single-car accident occurred on Old Connecticut Path near Forest Hill Road.
4:52 p.m. — A 911 call reported a two-car accident at Wayland Center. There were no injuries.
Friday, July 4
1:14 p.m. — A caller reported a plastic chair in the roadway at 490 Boston Post Rd. An officer removed the chair from the roadway and Mass Highway was notified.
7:34 p.m. — A person walked into the police station to report that his wallet had been stolen from the Town Beach.
7:54 p.m. — A 911 call complaining about noise at the Town Beach was received from Pemberton Road. The party at the beach was advised to turn down the music.
10:38 p.m. — A resident of Mellen Lane who was locked out of their residence called for assistance.

1:23 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Cochituate Road and arrested Angel Albino, 55, of North Worcester on charges of DUI.
10:03 p.m. — A 911 call reported that a vehicle had rolled over and struck a pole and was leaking fluids on Boston Post Road near Spring Hill Road. The car was towed to State Road Auto Body.
