The Wayland Post invites residents to take part in a town-wide Halloween Home and Costume Contest celebrating creativity, community spirit, and seasonal fun. Homes across Wayland are already glowing with pumpkins, ghosts, and ghouls — and now it’s your turn to join the friendly competition.

Residents can enter in two categories: Best Home Decorations and Best Costume. Entries for homes may include spooky yard displays, light shows, or classic autumn themes. Costumes may be entered by individuals, families, or groups.

Photos should be submitted by October 28 at waylandpost.org/submit-photo. Entries will be reviewed by the Post’s editorial team, and the top picks will be printed in the October 31 Halloween edition of The Wayland Post and featured online.

Winners will receive recognition in print and on social media, and selected photos may also appear in the Post’s Holiday Highlights spread in November.

Whether you’re building a haunted house or dressing as your favorite movie character, we invite everyone to help light up Wayland with imagination and Halloween spirit.
