Monday, April 28, 2025
4:45 p.m.:
Report was phoned in that a suspicious male was mowing on the lawn of a property on Forty Acres Dr. when the home alarm went off. The responding officer determined that the house had not been disturbed.
5:35 p.m.: A caller notified police that a cat had been struck by a car in the vicinity of Commonwealth Rd and Loker St. It was found to be a bobcat cub, which was deceased upon the officer’s arrival on the scene. Animal Control was notified.
5:57 p.m.: MassDOT was notified after a caller reported that a bag of trash was lying in the travel lane of Boston Post Rd, near the Town Center.


Tuesday, April 29, 2025
10:04 a.m.: Sudbury PD reported a motor vehicle that was being operated erratically at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped at the town line, and a verbal citation was issued.
12:02 p.m.: A driver was stopped for having an expired MA registration.
3:26 p.m.: A party called to request a check of the Fiddlehead Ln area for solicitors.
5:20 p.m.: A two-car accident on Oak St was reported . There were with no injuries.
5:46 p.m.: A second call was received from residents at Fiddlehead Ln, reporting solicitors.
7:36 p.m.: A caller from Bayfield Rd reported a large branch blocking the roadway. DPW was notified.

12:10 p.m.: A caller reported a low hanging wire over East Plain St. The cable company was notified.
4:30 p.m.: A motor vehicle crash involving two cars occurred on Cochituate Rd. No injuries were reported.


Thursday, May 1, 2025
12:00 p.m.: A report of a gas odor on Rich Valley Rd was received. National Grid was notified.
2:50 p.m.: A two-car accident with no injuries was reported at the Wayland Mini Market, 334 Boston Post Rd.
5:29 p.m.: A caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving two cars. It occurred on Oak St at Timber Ln. No injuries were reported.


Friday, May 2, 2025
8:22 a.m.: A 2-car accident was reported to have occurred at Plain Rd and Claypit Hill Rd. One of the cars struck a utility pole. Eversource was notified. There were no injuries.
11:44 a.m.: A caller reported that a group of about 50 kids was congregating at the Town Beach. The responding officer stated there were about 20 kids, and they were permitted to stay.
12:11 p.m.: A two-car accident occurred at Wayland Car Clinic, 356 Boston Post Rd. Both vehicles were towed; no EMS services were needed.
2:17 p.m.: A report was called in that a tree had fallen across Herland Way, pulling down some electric wires. The electric company was notified.

11:05 a.m.:
A caller from Oxbow Rd reported a fallen tree. It was cleared by the officer.
1:03 p.m.: A two-car crash occurred at Starbucks, 44 Main St.
2:08 p.m.: A two-car crash occurred at 315 Commonwealth Rd.
4:08 p.m.: A report was received of a wire down across the roadway at Commonwealth Rd and Old Tavern Rd. Verizon was notified.
5:37 p.m.: A caller reported that a tree was down on Concord Rd, with wires blocking the southbound lane. DPW and Eversource were notified.
5:41 p.m.: A resident of Red Barn Rd reported that a tree and wires came down on his house and a vehicle. Eversource was notified.


Sunday, May 4, 2025
3:06 p.m.: Multiple reports were received of wires down and trees on fire on Plain Rd. Eversource was notified and the road was closed. The fire was self-extinguished.
7:55 p.m.: A 2-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Old Connecticut Path and Rolling Ln. There were no injuries, but both cars had to be towed.

3:32 a.m.: Officers assisted with traffic due to a power outage that caused the lights to be out.


Tuesday, May 6, 2025
7:04 a.m.: A caller from Rice Spring Ln reported that a wire was sparking and caught a nearby tree on fire. Eversource was notified.
7:19 a.m.: A low hanging branch was impeding traffic at the Carroll School (45 Waltham Rd).
1:03 p.m.: A caller from Draper Rd at Highland Circle reported a small tree was on the wires; there was no fire hazard. Police closed the northbound lane at 93 Draper Rd, and the electric company was notified.


Wednesday, May 7, 2025
1:29 a.m.: An officer found an unoccupied car in the lot of the CVS Pharmacy at 325 Boston Post Rd with a flat tire.
7:57 a.m.: Smoking food set off a fire alarm at the Paine Estate (10 Green Way).
9:27 a.m.: A social worker called about Andrew Ave. resident; the resident had turned off their phone.
7:12 p.m.: Sprinkler and water-flow alarms at the high school Field House went off; crews shut down the system.

9:00 a.m.: A fire alarm at a house on Lingley Ln was activated; the cause was smoke from cooking, no fire hazard.
9:56 a.m.: A two-car accident occurred at Old Connecticut Path and Stonebridge Rd. No injuries were reported.


Friday, May 9, 2025
1:10 a.m.: A caller reported a tree in the roadway on Woodridge Rd. No wires were involved.
8:28 a.m.: A motor vehicle accident on Loker St at Commonwealth Rd resulted in no injury; one car was towed.


Saturday, May 10, 2025
7:15 a.m.: A tree was reported down on Woodridge Rd at Cochituate Rd, blocking one lane of travel; DPW was notified.
10:55 a.m.: A report was received of a motor vehicle crashing into a gas pump at the Mobil station on Commonwealth Rd. There was no fire danger and the pump checked out okay; the car had to be towed.
9:16 p.m.: A caller reported two males dressed in black were going door to door in the neighborhood soliciting business for pest control. The two parties were advised of solicitors permits.
10:09 p.m.: A resident in the vicinity of Happy Hollow School called to complain of parties on the field near the school.
11:25 p.m.: A resident of Adams Lane called to report loud music coming from the playground at Claypit Hill School.

7:48 a.m.: A carbon monoxide detector was activated at a house on East Plain St. The source was determined to be an unventilated stove. The area was ventilated.
12:11 p.m.: A caller reported an arcing wire on Plain Road. Eversource was notified.
4:17 p.m.: A resident of Draper Rd reported a turtle in the roadway. It was safely removed and relocated.
