Over three days of shows at Temple Shir Tikva, comedian Pam Schuller shared stories of growing up in a body she had no control over.
As a teenager, Schuller was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome and a touch of obsessive-compulsive disorder. She said she spent years being depressed and wishing her differences away. Looking at her life differently, she turned her obstacles and challenges into fuel that propels her.
At Shir Tikva, Schuller covered topics including “What Do I Say Now? Communication Across Generations,” “Seriously Funny: What Happens When Life Throws You a Curveball?,” “You Find the Funny,” and “Failing & Building Resilience.”
Having performed in seven countries and in every U.S. state, she is an internationally known disability and mental health advocate and professional stand-up comedian. Her repertoire teaches kids and teens to be proud of who they are and communities to be inclusive. She has a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in child advocacy and policy.
