As the regular season comes to an end at Wayland High School, multiple teams have earned their spots in the playoffs thanks to strong performances and key wins. Here’s a look at which teams got a bid at the postseason, and how they got there.

The baseball team (10–9) clinched a playoff berth after a 8–6 win over Acton-Boxborough on May 21. That victory capped off a season full of grit, including a road win against Lincoln-Sudbury, the 14th-ranked team in the state.

On the courts, girls tennis (10–5) has been a powerhouse all season and earned the No. 2 seed in Division 2. With a deep and experienced roster, the team is looking to make a serious run in the postseason. Not far behind, boys tennis (8–5) also secured a spot in the playoffs earning the No. 5 seed in Division 2.
Boys volleyball (12–8) has also had an impressive season and enters the playoffs as the No. 3 seed in Division 2. The team looks to repeat their deep postseason run from last year and make noise in the tournament.

In track and field, several standout athletes have qualified for States, representing Wayland in events ranging from sprints and hurdles to jumps and throws.

Girls lacrosse (9–9) rounds out the list of playoff-bound teams after battling through a competitive schedule. With a .500 record, the team looks to make a run in the playoffs.

As the playoffs begin, the Wayland community has plenty of teams to cheer for.
