The Community Preservation Committee re-elected Chair Susan Weinstein, Vice Chair Doug Stotz and Clerk Maureen Cavanaugh at its Sept. 16 meeting and unanimously renewed its $4,350 annual membership in the Community Preservation Coalition, using administrative funds.
Members also reviewed several projects previously supported with Community Preservation Act money. They reported that an affordable-housing project at 12 Hammond remained tied up in land court more than a year after the process began. A separate $250,000 commitment toward a St. Anne’s housing project had not yet been drawn down after the project failed to receive funding in the latest state round.
The committee also heard an update on a possible land swap involving approximately 1.5 to 2 acres near York Road that could help create a long-sought walking connection.
Members approved the committee’s annual report and set Nov. 13 as the application deadline for projects seeking CPA funding for the 2027 Annual Town Meeting. A pre-application meeting was scheduled for Nov. 17.
