Submit essays to Rev250’s “We the People: Voices of the Constitution”

1 min read

As part of Wayland’s year-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, residents are invited to write a short essay on the Constitution. What is its relevance in modern life? Are its promises realized, or still aspirational? Include personal stories or community experiences that highlight the Constitution’s role and/or our struggle to shape a society that lives up to its principles.

Essays should be no more than 500 words. All ages are invited to participate, and students are especially encouraged. Submissions will be reviewed by a three-person panel of reviewers selected by the Wayland Rev250 Working Group. The panel will offer some essay writers the opportunity to take part in a panel discussion(s) about the Constitution. Other essays may be published, with permission, on the Wayland Rev250 website and in the Wayland Post, and possibly in other outlets.

Submission deadline is Veterans Day, November 11, 2025. Ask questions and submit essays to waylandrev250@gmail.com.
