The Sudbury Community Food Pantry (SCFP, www.sudburyfoodpantry.org), a nonprofit that provides food and personal care items to thousands of individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, has moved into a new building at 534 Boston Post Road in Wayland.

Founded in 1990 in response to the rising needs of local Sudbury residents, SCFP has grown into a regional resource serving clients from 85 cities and towns, distributing over 30,000 bags of food to nearly 6,000 client visits annually. The pantry’s all-volunteer team of more than 175 volunteers supports this essential work.

The newly acquired 3,250-square-foot building sits on 1.05 acres and is undergoing extensive renovations. These include asbestos remediation, ADA-compliant upgrades, a new roof and facade, and a redesigned interior tailored to serve food-insecure clients more effectively.

The pantry anticipates completing renovations by late July, with operations continuing uninterrupted at its longtime location in Ascension Parish in Sudbury until its new building is up and running in mid-August.
