The Massachusetts Assisted Living Association presented Carriage House at Lee’s Farm Maintenance Director Laurie Pimentel the 2026 Facilities and Maintenance Award. Northbridge Senior Living Community owns the Carriage House, which is located on Boston Post Road in Wayland.
The Facilities and Maintenance Award recognizes an individual who goes above and beyond to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming living environment for residents while ensuring a community and its facilities operate at their best.
Among Pimentel’s accomplishments are crafting a rotating puzzle table to make one of the residents’ favorite activities more accessible; restoring a damaged dining room table by hand, and creating a memorial scoreboard and bocce court in honor of a beloved resident who enjoyed playing the game.
Pimentel also helped improve the community’s process for preparing apartments for new residents, developed strong relationships with vendors, and earned the respect of both the maintenance and housekeeping teams she supports.
