In this 10-part series, you’ll encounter information gleaned from a collaborative history project that began in 2016. I wanted to capture the history of Cochituate, a place that exudes an authentic, robust sense of place from the perspective of those whose identities are intertwined with this community.
I connected with scores of people through the internet, telephone, the U.S. Postal Service, and in person. They poured forth a flood of collective knowledge and history. Their insights guided the direction of my research and, thus, the topics explored in this series. They hold a special place in their hearts for this place they call, or once called, home and want to share the history of the only place in the entire world called Cochituate.
