The Housing Authority voted 3‑0 on Oct. 8 to award a $131,316 contract to replace horizontal wastewater pipes at Bent Park. The authority received six bids, ranging from approximately $131,000 to $284,000. Project engineers reviewed the proposals and references and recommended the lowest qualified bidder.
The work will give the horizontal pipes a slope intended to improve drainage and reduce backups. Vertical pipes are outside the contract. The group’s next meeting was set for Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Bent Park.
