The Municipal Affordable Housing Trust approved $11,500 in project and legal bills Sept. 15 as members discussed continued delays affecting an affordable-housing project on Hammond Road.
The trust voted 5-0 to pay $2,800 to ActTwo Architects for condominium documents, $7,470 to Wayland Commons for sewer and septic decommissioning associated with three Chapter 40B units, and up to $1,231.50 in land court legal expenses.
Chair Michael Staiti said the land deregistration needed before construction could proceed with Habitat for Humanity had taken more than a year and four months. Members discussed a possible spring 2027 groundbreaking, although the land court process remained unresolved.
The trust also welcomed a new Select Board liaison, Chris Reynolds, after the position had been vacant for roughly two years.
Members discussed a pending request for proposals involving 212 Cochituate Road. At this meeting, the proposal was described as potentially providing a group home for people with cognitive disabilities.
