Monday, Aug. 24

8:08 a.m. — A caller reported that her vehicle had hit a fire hydrant on Main Street near Harrison Street. Police notified the water department.

Tuesday, Aug. 25

11:32 a.m. — A Concord Road resident called to report that a tree owned by the town had fallen, taking down wires. Additional calls described more of the tree falling, with branches lying on house drop wires. DPW and Verizon were notified.

2:46 p.m. — A downed wire was reported on Barney Hill Road; the Fire Department confirmed that it was caused by a dump truck. Eversource was notified.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

4:54 a.m. — A telephone call from Concord Road reported that a tree was in the roadway near the library. An officer cleared it to the sidewalk and notified DPW.

7:12 p.m. — A call was received from Autumn Lane concerning a fallen tree; DPW was notified and the area was taped off.

Thursday, Aug. 27

11:16 a.m. — A 911 call reported that an accident had occurred on Andrew Avenue at Boston Post Road, involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.

Friday, Aug. 28

8:42 a.m. — A telephone report was received concerning a sick gopher on Pilgrim Path. The animal was put down and then removed by Animal Control.

12:23 p.m. — A caller from the Cochituate Ballfield, 40 West Plain St., reported that an e-bike operated by a juvenile had failed to stop on Main Street near Shawmut Avenue. Police spoke with the youth’s parents.

7:16 p.m. — A resident of Bayfield Road called to report lawn equipment was missing from their shed.

Saturday, Aug. 29

3:14 a.m. — A 911 call reported a single-car motor vehicle accident on Stonebridge Road; there were no injuries, but a fence was damaged.

Sunday, Aug. 30

3:56 p.m. — A caller from the CVS, 325 Boston Post Road, stated that several juveniles had entered the store and vandalized items. The caller said she had previously told them they are not welcome there without their parents, as this has occurred before.

8:05 p.m. — A caller from Longfellow Health Club, 524 Boston Post Road, stated she struck a deer while traveling home. The deer was found in Sudbury; MassDOT was notified.

Monday, Aug. 31

7:40 a.m. — A three-car accident that occurred at Loker Street and Commonwealth Road was called in by 911. Three people were transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital and all vehicles were towed to State Road Autobody. A purse left behind in one vehicle was later retrieved.

3:58 p.m. — A resident of Rich Valley Road came to the police station to report an incident of credit card fraud.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

8:04 a.m. — A 911 call reported that an SUV had struck a utility pole and hydrant on Main Street near the Sunoco Station. There were no injuries. The water department was notified.

1:12 p.m. — A telephone call reported a two-car motor vehicle accident near the Carriage House at Lee’s Farm, 126 Boston Post Road. There were no injuries.

4:08 p.m. — A single car accident that occurred on Rice Road near Magnolia Drive was called in by 911. The vehicle went off the road into the woods. One person was transported to the Beth Israel Hospital, and the vehicle was removed from the woods and towed to State Road Autobody.

4:11 p.m. — A two-vehicle traffic crash at Wayland Car Clinic, 356 Boston Post Road, was radioed in. There were no injuries.

5:19 p.m. — A party came to the station to report a scam, and was advised by police.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

7:12 p.m. — A 911 caller from Eden Road stated that a child had tried to get into their vehicle. The responding officer reported that the child was reunited with his family.

Thursday, Sept. 3

6:48 p.m. — A caller from Parkridge Road described seeing two dogs off leash and a possible attack occurring. The responding officer was able to locate the dog owner; no attack occurred.

Friday, Sept. 4

8:45 p.m. — A live wire was reported in the roadway at 131 Main St. and widespread power outage. DPW and Eversource were notified.

9:47 p.m. — The station received a 911 report from a Holbrook Road resident about some neighbors shooting bottle rockets at his home. All parties were advised.

Saturday, Sept. 5

12:17 p.m. — A caller from Main Street reported four juveniles throwing rocks at cars. An officer spoke with the caller and the youths.

Sunday, Sept. 6

1:23 p.m. — A telephone call reported a fallen tree at the intersection of Training Field Road and Concord Road. The tree was moved to the shoulder, which was taped off, and DPW was notified.

7:13 p.m. — A resident of Loker Street called about a tree branch leaning on some wires. Wayland Fire Department reported it was a house drop and notified Eversource that a tree crew was needed.
