3:46 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident occurred on Old Connecticut Path at Rice Road, according to a call from one of the operators. There were no injuries.
10:03 p.m. — A resident of the Cochituate Village Apartments (106 Main St.) reported water leaking into his apartment from the ceiling. Police found the water was originating in the apartment above his. Maintenance was on the scene.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
7:21 p.m. — The operator of an SUV reported hitting a deer on Concord Road near Glezen Lane. The deer was found and animal control was notified.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
9:42 p.m. — A resident of Claypit Hill Road called to report an odor of gas inside the home following a fireplace installation. The presence of gas was confirmed by the Fire Department. National Grid was called to the scene.
Thursday, Jan. 22
3:07 a.m. — A resident from Bent Avenue reported water from the upstairs apartment was leaking into their apartment. The Fire Department responded; maintenance arrived on the scene.
9:54 a.m. — A residential burglar alarm at a Glezen Lane residence was investigated by police. Multiple animal tracks were found near a basement window.
2:44 p.m. — A minor two-vehicle accident was reported from the Post Office at 277 Boston Post Road.
Friday, Jan. 23
1:20 a.m. — A fire box alarm was received from Alta Oxbow (492 Boston Post Road) and smoke was confirmed on the first floor. The area was ventilated.
Saturday, Jan. 24
12:11 a.m. — A caller reported a wire was down at Old Connecticut Path near Sycamore Road. The Fire Department identified it as a cable wire and moved it to the side of the road; Comcast was notified.
3:40 a.m. — A single-car accident involving a rollover on Old Connecticut Path was reported by 911. The operator was extricated but refused medical attention; the vehicle was towed.
9:08 a.m. — A large tree branch was seen in danger of falling, posing a hazard on Cochituate Road. DPW was notified. Police were on scene to assist with traffic while the branch was removed.
Sunday, Jan. 25
12:06 a.m. — A caller from Riverview Circle was concerned about a vehicle that had been parked outside for over an hour, idling, with headlights and interior lights on. An officer spoke with the occupants, who left the area.
8:32 a.m. — Police investigating a disabled motor vehicle on Old Connecticut Path arrested Jacob Diaz, 27, of Marlborough, who was charged with OUI and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
10:58 a.m. — A caller from Shepard’s Mobil Station (268 Boston Post Road) was concerned about metal debris in the roadway. It was found to be the cover of a maintenance access and was put back in place.
1:58 p.m. — A 911 call from Boston Post Road near Glen Road reported that a motor vehicle had struck an anchor cable at a utility pole. Eversource was notified.
Monday, Jan. 26
8:55 a.m. — Fire Department responded to a 911 call from an Oak Hill Road resident concerned about the odor of gas coming from the basement. It was confirmed that the odor was caused by a blocked dryer vent. The gas company was notified, the blocked vent was cleared, and the house was ventilated.
2:00 p.m. — A resident of Old Connecticut Path reported that the carbon monoxide alarm was sounding in the basement. Low readings of CO were confirmed by the Fire Department.
6:50 p.m. — An accident involving a single car off Cochituate Road required towing.
Tuesday, Jan. 27
7:02 p.m. — A general fire alarm was set off at 530 Boston Post Road due to a burst sprinkler pipe, which caused extensive damage to the building. Electricity, water, and gas to the building were shut off, and building inspectors were called to the scene.
Wednesday, Jan. 28
8:14 a.m. — A caller from Oak Street and Commonwealth Road reported that the traffic was backed up at the traffic light, owing to a snowbank impeding the right turn from Oak Street. DPW was notified.
4:32 p.m. — A party calling from Alta Oxbow, 490 Boston Post Road, reported a loud verbal argument and stomping coming from an upstairs apartment. Police officers checked the apartment and advised the residents.
5:53 p.m. — An accident involving two vehicles occurred at Commonwealth Road and Main streets as reported by 911. EMS transported one person to Newton-Wellesley Hospital; both vehicles were towed.
Thursday, Jan. 29
9:38 a.m. — An accident occurred on Glezen Lane when a vehicle encountered a trash can.
2:42 p.m. — A natural gas leak was detected by an officer in the vicinity of Plain Road near Bigelow Road. National Grid was notified.
6:16 p.m. — A caller from Pelham Island Road reported a deceased animal in the westbound lane of the road near Route 20. Police on the scene found a bag but no other hazard in the roadway.
Friday, Jan. 30
8:44 a.m. — A caller from Plain Road at Decatur Lane stated that a wire was smoking. Eversource was notified.
5:52 p.m. — A caller from Pemberton Road reported a man going door to door, claiming to be from Verizon. The parties were advised.
Saturday, Jan. 31
2:31 a.m. — An officer reported that a crossing sign on Cochituate Road had been struck and fell. A message was left for DPW.
9:27 a.m. — A person came to the station to speak with an officer regarding a hit and run accident that occurred the previous day at Mel’s Commonwealth Café (310 Commonwealth Road).
11:42 a.m. — A disabled motor vehicle with a flat tire on Main Street near School Street was reported by AAA. A tow company was called.
1:30 p.m. — A caller from Alta Oxbow (494 Boston Post Road) reported that both of his vehicles parked in the garage were missing personal items, and that doors of both vehicles were unlocked.
3:02 p.m. — A resident of Alta Oxbow (494 Boston Post Road) called to report there was yelling, including obscenities and threats, from the apartment above. Officers advised the parties.
