Trudy Loveland Conover, 87, passed away peacefully on Feb. 10, 2026, in Wheeling, W.V.
Trudy was an active member of the Wheeling Red Hat Society, the Wilderness League of Ohio County, the New Life Assembly of God, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Trudy was an avid camper and traveler, had a keen eye for fashion and a love for dancing. She became the first female speed boat racer in Blackwood, N.J.
Trudy was preceded in death by her father, Leon Albert Conover; her mother, Consolotta Barbieri Conover; and her brother, Leonard Michael Conover. She is survived by her devoted partner and husband of 44 years, Charles Heffelfinger; her loving children, Angela Tacchetti of Maryland, Towanda Marrero of West Virginia, Connie (Dennis) Matlock of West Virginia, Vincent (Terri) Quinn of New Jersey, and Donna Quinn of Florida; her cherished stepdaughters, Lori (John) Hyslip, Syrena (Bret) Carver, and Regina (David) Altruder of Wayland; and her sister, Teresa Borden of N.Y
Trudy also leaves grandchildren Jordan, Christopher, Shawn, Aspen, Holland, Shanna, Carissa, Rocky, John, Eric, Morgan, Abigail, Mark, and Lili, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
