Monday, Aug. 10
6:43 a.m. — A driver near Vokes Theater, 97 Boston Post Road, called with concern about a car being driven erratically before pulling over onto the sidewalk. Police responded and assisted with the disabled vehicle.
7:36 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Old Connecticut Path near Herland Way and impounded it for unlicensed operation and a revoked registration. The car was towed to State Road Auto Body.
Tuesday, Aug. 11
10:19 a.m. — A two-car accident on Commonwealth Road near East Plain Street was called in to 911. No injuries were reported but one car was towed.
1:14 p.m. — DPW reported to the Fire Department that a large tree limb was leaning on primary wires on Autumn Lane. Eversource was notified.
1:43 p.m. — A resident of Cochituate Road reported that a solicitor would not leave the property when asked. Solicitor was described as a young man, approximately 5’8” with light brown skin, wearing a T-shirt and a ball cap with the company “Shield” displayed, and driving a black Ford pickup with Florida plates. Two additional reports were made to police with the same description, one from Shaw Drive at 4:20, the other from Moore Road at 7:38 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 12
1:54 p.m. — Police observed a solicitor from Shield pest control on Dean Road and told him to move along. A later call from Orchard Lane at 2:43 p.m. reported the same solicitor in the neighborhood.
3:37 p.m. — Fire Department reported wires down on Haven Lane. Verizon was notified.
10:13 p.m. — A call from Cedar Crest Road reported that a tree had fallen and was leaning on wires. The electric company was notified.
Thursday, Aug. 13
3:06 p.m. — A caller from East Plain Street said there was a sick or injured skunk on the side of the road. The responding officer said the animal was deceased and contacted animal control.
5:58 p.m. — The Fire Department received multiple calls concerning a brush fire on Commonwealth Road at Cochituate State Park. The fire was brought under control by 6:41 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 14
12:36 p.m. — A fire at a residence on Peck Avenue was called in by 911. The fire started in the kitchen, likely at the range, and engulfed the surrounding rooms and the attic, rendering the house uninhabitable.
3:05 p.m. — A two-car accident that occurred on Cochituate Road near Wayland Center was called in by 911. One person was taken to Emerson Hospital.
4:29 p.m. — An employee of Middlesex Savings Bank, 150 Commonwealth Road, telephoned to report that someone used forged identity documents in order to withdraw funds from a victim’s account.
4:55 p.m. — A caller from Forty Acres Drive stated two golden retrievers were loose in the area. It was determined the dogs belonged to a neighbor, who was unaware they had escaped.
10:38 p.m. — A party came to the station to pick up her wallet, reported as stolen from the front seat of her car earlier in the day at the Heard Farm Conservation Area.
Saturday, Aug. 15
11:18 a.m. — During a motor vehicle stop on Old Connecticut Path, the registration presented was for another car; the vehicle was impounded and towed to State Road Autobody.
2:59 p.m. — A single-car motor vehicle accident occurred on Concord Road near Hickory Hill Road; there were no injuries.
10:33 p.m. — A caller from Dudley Road complained about loud music in the area. There was a later call from Sunset Road about the complaint. Officers advised both parties.
Sunday, Aug. 16
9:29 a.m. — In a motor vehicle stop on Cochituate Road near Wayland Center, the vehicle did not have an active registration or insurance. It was impounded and towed.
Monday, Aug. 17
10:43 a.m. — Police were called to Starbucks, 41 Main St., to assist with a customer who refused to leave the store. The party was informed that she was trespassing at that location.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
11:56 a.m. — A delivery driver called 911 to request assistance after a party on Main Street at Sunset Road had goods delivered but would not pay.
1:14 p.m. — A party came to the station to report that a tree was blocking the speed limit sign at the cemetery on Cochituate Road. DPW was notified.
9:36 p.m. — A resident of Smokey Hill Road came to the station about a license plate that had been stolen in Arlington.
Wednesday, Aug. 19
9:09 a.m. — A construction dumpster was found blocking the roadway on Old Sudbury Road; the obstruction was removed.
2:28 p.m. — A caller from Concord Road at Waltham Road expressed concern about a male party sitting on the side of the road. Courtesy transport to the station was provided.
5:43 p.m. — A party from Andrew Avenue came to the station to speak with an officer about check fraud.
8:10 p.m. — A call from Dudley Chateau, 20 Crest Road, reported a male party would not leave the property after being asked. An officer located and spoke with the party and waited with him until he was picked up.
Thursday, Aug. 20
9:35 a.m. — DPW reported that all three stop signs posted on Sherman’s Bridge Road had been stolen, two from the Alpine Road intersection and one from the Concord Road intersection. One pole was also stolen.

Saturday, Aug. 22
1:16 a.m. — A caller from Clubhouse Lane requested an officer to check her backyard for a bobcat that may be trying to catch her chickens. Officers chased it into the woods.
11:26 a.m. — A 911 call reported a two-car motor vehicle accident at the Gulf Gas Station, 28 Boston Post Road. There were no injuries.
Sunday, Aug. 23
4:46 a.m. — A telephone call from West Plain Street reported that a vehicle had hit the fence on the property, causing damage, and then left the scene.
4:18 p.m. — A caller from Barney Hill Road reported a large tree branch on the wires. Eversource was notified.
