12:46 p.m. — Police reported a minor two-car accident at Trinitarian Church, 49 Cochituate Road.
12:49 p.m. — A walk-in to the station turned in a lost phone.
Tuesday, Sept. 22
10:59 a.m. — A 911 caller reported seeing a vehicle passing cars and speeding along Route 27, eventually turning into the Wayland Middle School. Responding officers determined that the 18-year-old driver was in emotional distress and was released into the care of a family member.
2:34 p.m. — A resident of Plain Road called to speak with an officer about an Apple Pay scam and was given advice.
3:12 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident at the Middlesex Savings Bank, 150 Commonwealth Road, involving a car and a truck, was called in to 911 by one of the drivers.
4:25 p.m. — A telephone caller from Hillside Drive reported that her husband was on the phone with a scammer. An officer was able to assist the resident in disconnecting the remote session with the scammer on their computer. The original charge was blocked by the credit card company because it came from a previously reported fraudulent company.

Thursday, Sept. 24
1:08 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Old Sudbury Road at Wayland Country Club; the vehicle was impounded because the registration had expired and could not be immediately renewed.
1:40 p.m. — A 911 call from Cochituate Road reported that a large tree limb had fallen, taking down some wires. Eversource and the bus company were notified; DPW provided a detour.
4:22 p.m. — A call from DPW at Happy Hollow Road reported that a large crane on the side of the road was creating a large hazard and traffic issue.
4:29 p.m. — A caller from York Road stated that about 25 bags of dog waste were left at the edge of his property next to the road. DPW was notified.
4:48 p.m. — A 911 call reported that a two-vehicle traffic accident with injuries had occurred at Commonwealth Road and Loker Street.
Friday, Sept. 25
8:37 a.m. — A two-car accident on Commonwealth Road was called in by 911; there were no injuries.
12:18 p.m. — A minor traffic accident involving two cars at Sunrise Assisted Living, 285 Commonwealth Road, was called in by 911; there were no injuries.
2:27 p.m. — A caller from Stonebridge Road reported that a tree branch had fallen on secondary and communication wires. Eversource and Verizon were notified; DPW provided a detour.
2:30 p.m. — Police noted the traffic lights at Wayland Center were not cycling properly; an officer was able to reset.
8:53 p.m. — A caller from Cochituate Road near Pequot Road reported sparks coming from a telephone pole. The electric company was notified of a primary down on the ground.
Saturday, Sept. 26
10:42 a.m. — A caller from Loker School, 49 Loker St., stated that a large tree was blocking the driveway to the school; DPW was notified and the area was taped off.
11:49 a.m. — A caller from Highland Circle reported a tree limb was down in the roadway; DPW was notified.
1:15 p.m. — A caller from Cochituate Village Apartments, 106 Main St., reported that gasoline may have been siphoned out of a neighbor’s vehicle overnight, and that this has recently happened to several neighbors.
3:59 p.m. — A call from Clubhouse Lane concerned a wire lying across the road; Eversource was notified.
5:44 p.m. — Several calls were received concerning trees or branches lying in roadways. Police were able to move them off to the side and the DPW helped as needed.
8:46 p.m. — A 911 call from Lincoln Road reported that two vehicles had been struck by a fallen tree.
10:05 p.m. — A caller from Plain Road at Bigelow Road reported a tree was down. Police found that wires were involved. Eversource was notified, the road was closed, and a detour was put in place.
11:24 p.m. — A family on Davelin Road was advised to find alternative housing for the evening when a power surge produced smoke in the house.

8:58 a.m. — A caller reported a two-vehicle accident at the Sunoco Station, 19 Main St. There were no injuries.
8:17 p.m. — A caller from Loker Street reported a tree was down across the road. Eversource was notified.
Monday, Sept. 28
10:10 a.m. — A resident of Joyce Road came to the station to report the fraudulent use of a credit card.
1:21 p.m. — A caller from Cochituate Road reported a wire was lying on the sidewalk; Verizon was notified.
1:51 p.m. — A caller from Andrew Avenue requested to speak with an officer regarding a lost check; the caller was advised.
1:59 p.m. — A caller from Cochituate Road reported a tree on the wires; Eversource was notified.
2:59 p.m. — A resident of Cutting Cross Way came to the station to report internet fraud.
Tuesday, Sept. 29
10:10 a.m. — DPW reported that there was a wire down across Lake Shore Drive; Eversource was notified.
1:25 p.m. — A 911 call reported a three-car traffic accident with airbag deployment on Commonwealth Road at School Street. Two people were taken to area hospitals and two vehicles were towed.
1:48 p.m. — A three-vehicle crash was called in by 911 from Boston Post Road at Pelham Island Road; no injuries were reported.
11:45 p.m. — A telephone call from West Plain reported a transformer was sparking. The Fire Department reported a burning breaker at the pole; Eversource was notified.
Wednesday, Sept. 30
9:37 a.m. — A two-car accident was called in by 911; the crash occurred at the intersection of Lincoln and Waltham roads. There were no injuries reported.
Thursday, Oct. 1
11:34 a.m. — A telephone report was received from Rice Road at Turkey Hill Road about a tree leaning on the wires; Verizon was notified.
3:54 p.m. — A 911 call reported a two-car accident at the Villa Restaurant, 124 E. Plain St.
Friday, Oct. 2
12:21 a.m. — A crash involving three vehicles occurred at Alta Oxbow, 490 Boston Post Road, when a Ford Mustang struck two parked vehicles. The driver, Michael William Lynch, 67, of Boynton Beach, Fla., was arrested for OUI (4th or greater offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and violations of marked lanes and the posted speed limit.
3:58 p.m. — A two-car accident was called in from Wayland Middle School.
Saturday, Oct. 3
9:22 a.m. — Wires were reported down on Oxbow Road at Campbell Road. Verizon was notified.
12:43 p.m. — A telephone call from Main Street at East Plain Street reported two black dogs on the loose with no owner evident; Animal Control was notified.
Sunday, Oct. 4
9:41 p.m. — A caller from South Street reported an incident of fraud.
