Jack Lancelot “Lance” Lichtor

Jack Lancelot “Lance” Lichtor, MD of New Haven, CT and Wayland, MA, a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and most recently Director of Pediatric Anesthesia at Yale University, died on April 30, 2025.

Lance was an avid baker, walker and runner—he even ran the Chicago marathon—NPR listener, White Sox fan, and exercise enthusiast. His Jewish faith was important to him, and he enjoyed connecting with his local congregation wherever he lived. Over the course of his life and career, he made a difference in many children and families’ lives, including his own. He will forever be loved and remembered by all who knew him.

Lance is survived by his wife of 50 years Christine A. Odell, MD of New Haven, CT and Wayland, MA. He is the father of Sarah Lichtor of North Billerica, MA; Stephanie Lichtor of Brookline, MA; Phillip Lichtor and his wife Sara Neves of Belmont, MA; Scott Lichtor and his wife Julia Gerhardt of Chicago, IL; and Michelle Lichtor of Towson, MD, brother of Valerie Gabrielli and her husband William F. Gabrielli, Jr. of Shawnee, KS; Terence Lichtor and his wife Malka Lichtor of Wilmette, IL and the late Gwendolyn Keston. He is also survived by two grandchildren, four nieces and four nephews.

Private family services were held at Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland, MA.
