Henry “Hank” Davis Shaw of Wayland, died on Aug. 16, 2026, at his residence in Wayland. Husband of Kathryn “Kathy” Herter Shaw of Wayland and father of Edward R. Shaw and his wife, Sarah, and Leslie C. McDonough, all of Brainerd, Minn. Grandfather of Marly and Ruby Shaw and Vikki and Liam McDonough, also of Brainerd. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Craig Brainerd. Brother of the late Tom Shaw and Jane Olore. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Hank was born in Presque Isle, Maine, and graduated from Bowdoin College. He became an actuary and had a 40-year career at John Hancock Life Insurance Co. in Boston.
