Four Eagle Scouts Win Scholarships

Matthew Karpacz, chair of Wayland Scouting and Scholarship Foundation director, acknowledged the achievements of the 2025 Eagle Scouts who recently graduated from Wayland High School. These Scouts experienced high adventure, including a 12-day trip to Philmont, N.M., where they backpacked and climbed central mountains while carrying their food and water. The Eagle Scouts and their post-high school plans:

  • Joshua Nuspl (Northwestern University, applied math)
  • Finn Jay (Washington University in St. Louis, economics and political science)
  • Zach Thoen (Boston University, mechanical engineering)
  • George Stafford (U.S. Air Force Academy)
