The board voted 5-0 on Oct. 20 to move discounted municipal water accounts to standard commercial tiers beginning in fiscal 2028. Using fiscal 2025 consumption and fiscal 2027 rates, staff estimated about $67,000 in additional annual charges, with Recreation facing the largest increase because of field irrigation. Department heads will incorporate the change into budget requests. Members also continued reviewing transfer station costs and a proposed town subsidy.
Next: Further transfer station analysis was planned for Nov. 4.
