In the Wayland Rev250 logo design contest, judges admired Michelle Mohnkern’s clean design and patriotic “Let Freedom Ring” concept embodied by the Paul Revere bell. “When searching for a symbol of Wayland, I was drawn to the First Parish cupola, an enduring link to the town’s past,” Mohnkern said. “We hear the bell echoing across the treetops and through the lives of Waylanders below, marking time with quiet strength. To me, it represents a sense of permanence, a place grounded in history, yet alive with families who will continue to call it home for generations to come.”
