Wayland’s Finance Committee Appointing Board will lose its chair Sept. 1. Cherry Karlson said on Aug. 20 that she will not seek reappointment after three years on the panel, which was created by a 2023 Town Meeting bylaw to vet Finance Committee volunteers. Members Carol Martin and Miranda Jones will continue, with Jones calling the next meeting. Two Finance Committee seats are expected to be up in 2027.
