The Wayland Health Department will host two flu and Covid-19 vaccine clinics in October at the Town Building, 42 Cochituate Road. For those 60+ years old, the clinic is Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 8–11 a.m. The second clinic for the rest is Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Wayland HS is #4
Wayland High School has been named among the top five best public high schools in Greater Boston, according to a new ranking. WHS was ranked No. 4 in Top Public High Schools in Greater Boston for 2026 in “Boston Magazine.”
The ranking compares public high schools in communities within or partly within I-495 using the latest available data from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Factors considered include MCAS and SAT scores, class sizes, student-to-teacher ratios, arts participation, digital literacy or computer science coursework and advanced-course participation.
The school also posted a 97.7% four-year graduation rate for the Class of 2025. Students took 605 Advanced Placement exams during the 2024-25 school year, with 96% of those exams receiving scores of 3 or higher.
Dover-Sherborn, Weston and Lexington high schools finished ahead of Wayland in the rankings.

The Wayland Human Rights, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee’s newly updated Wayland Community Resource Guide — a one-stop directory for programs and support in and around Wayland — is now available. Included in the guide are:
• A starting point for help with mental health, food, housing, legal issues, and immigration;
• Resources for community members of all ages, from youth to older adults;
• Links to town resources through the Council on Aging, Wayland Youth and Family Services, police and fire departments, and more.
