Municipal Meeting Recaps

Capital Improvement Planning Committee

On Aug. 19, the Capital Improvement Planning Committee drilled into DPW and police FY28 requests, pulling a dump truck forward three years. DPW Director Tom Holder presented a $500,000 Route 20 design request on top of $250,000 already appropriated, telling the committee a State TIP-funded construction phase could reach “between eight and ten million dollars.” The salt shed rehabilitation dropped from roughly $1 million to $500,000 after Facilities rescoped the work. New water and wastewater items include a $500,000 asset management plan, a $2 million storage tank rehabilitation in FY30, and an $8 million wastewater placeholder in FY32 tied to potential Dudley Pond capacity. Next meeting: Aug. 31.
